If I could give no stars I would. At first the place seemed very nice, it's only me and my husband so we didn't need much. The ONLY reason we resigned our lease was for the concession check, which is something we will no longer get after 2018. They give us so little as it is, only to take away even more. There are no washer dryer hookups so you couldn't even have one if you wanted. There's NO air conditioning, and they will not allow you to have a window a/c unit since we are "close to the ocean." We are 20 minutes from the ocean and it gets SO HOT in the summer. We are in our bed sweating at night. The appliances break ALL the time, your requests for maintenance may or may not be put through, the maintenance people may or may not ever show up, and they never really fix the darn things. Customer service is terrible, they never return your calls and they treat you like trash. There is a HUGE mouse, and insect problem. They won't allow you to have a cat because the mice that infest your house are "endangered." The houses here are cheaply made, with soap dishes GLUED onto the wall.l for example l. Please stay away from this place. Everyone hates it here.

Had to move my family from the east coast out of lincoln on lejuene. Had a house booked with their rival agent on base, but it was smaller than what we were looking for and didnt have ac. Lincoln jumped in and said they could get us into the house we wanted. After being seen by an agent we were told we couldn't get an official reservation but they could unofficially put one on hold for us and guaranteed it'd be there when our family moved. We received an address and I was told when I could swing by and grab the key. Two weeks out from the move now and my wife calls to make sure everything's good. They gave the house away to another couple, didn't tell us and had completely forgotten we even came by their office, not the slightest clue who we were. My family would have moved here thinking everything was set up and been homeless. Sucks even more that we gave up a sure thing with their competitor. These guys are crooked. Stay away from them.

I personally love Lincoln. We've never had a problem out of them. They have always been very straightforward with us.

I feel like I've been duped. Before we signed the lease they let us tour our house, which was nice, we saw a thermostat on the wall which led us to believe that we would have central air (which we don't, but we didn't know it at the time). We went back to sign the lease and we went through all of the important details of the lease, we signed it, no problemo. Afterward, we went back to our house where someone would show us around and provide us with more information. It was there that the woman tells us we have central heating, but not central air conditioning "because you don't need it because of the ocean breeze." This was AFTER we already signed the lease, and this information was not disclosed prior. In the Summer time the house gets to 80 - 90 degrees with all the windows open, AND you're not allowed to bring in your own A/C unit unless it's for medical reasons. So you're stuck with just using fans. The power goes out all the time, for hours at a time, I had to go without a shower or a hot meal on multiple occasions because of this. They say they are "pet friendly," but only allow dogs. They don't allow cats because they are trying to protect an endangered mouse. Um, dogs kill mice to, you know. They give you a concession checks, but it is not worth it. This housing area of Stuart Mesa is not worth your time, they will not get better. As a matter a fact, the people of Stuart Mesa are putting in money to build more houses, when they should use that money to improve the electrical system and the wiring in the already existing houses. If you live here be ready for power outages, light bulbs blowing every few weeks because of bad wiring, and no air conditioning. And if you're a cat person, well tough luck to you.

There are different sections to Lincoln. We live in Serra mesa and can't really speak for the other places other than I've heard the power goes out often at stuart mesa. The way people view it here in serra mesa depends greatly on their own attitude. This is a great place for couples just starting out together. When we signed we got a lot of money back so how much you get back just depends on what promotions they are doing at the time you need to sign. The laundry is done in a court laundry mat system and most courts have their own. I've never had a problem with it however I do set a timer for when it will be done so I can go get it. Just remember that it's a lot of young families so most are just out of high school and seem like they never left. Ignore drama. Something I really enjoy is that they bring all the communities together and have these events for some holidays or just because they think it would be nice. Also they have smaller events like movie nights to bring people together in Serra mesa. Sometimes they are easy to miss so you have to check your email quite often. At these get togethers however, they give away prises and have games for any little ones. They understand that no one truly knows each other and try to allow a place that we can mingle and get to change that. The apartments themselves are nice. Yes things break a lot because everything is relatively old and has been used hard. However, I have never had a problem with work orders not the people executing them. They are very courteous and even asked if it was okay if they kept their shoes on coming into my apartment. You are allowed to plant in your garden area and it's actually encouraged. Having said that, recently there was a problem that people hired to remove bushes didn't follow/ understand their orders. They tore out my neighbors honeysuckle bush and when they were asked to please stop they simply said that they don't speak English and continued to "work". They were only supposed to do one sections bushes but instead they did two and a half courts along with personal plants. This seemed to be a one time comunication extream fail however, for those who plant, it was detrimental. Life in an apartment is what you make it to be.
