Story

Visitors will choose from 12 cabins, 38 tent spaces and several RV sites as well as a large group camping area. All cabins have bunk beds with mattresses, with a few having double beds in addition to the bunk beds, heaters, and lighting. All tent sites and cabins have a picnic table, BBQ, and fire ring. There are two bathroom/shower houses for all to use. Larger groups including organized environmental organizations, school groups, Scouting, colleges and universities, can reserve Little Basin exclusively and take full advantage of all the program and recreation opportunities.

Mission

UCCR and the WOLF Schools’ stewardship of Little Basin is in complete accordance with the mission of California State Parks: To provide for the health, inspiration and education of the people of California helping to preserve the state's extraordinary biological diversity, protecting its most valued natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation.

Products

Setting Little Basin apart from other state park campgrounds is a recreation hall, tennis court, full basketball court, two sports fields, group BBQ area and a playground. In addition, UCCR is proud that its premier educational institute, the Web of Life Field (WOLF) School, will provide program services at Little Basin. The WOLF School runs dynamic and engaging educational programs in science & the environment, cultural history as well as leadership & team building to thousands of students and campers throughout northern and central California each year.

We love camping at Little Basin! The campsite is beautiful and peaceful. We have been to several group camping trips here and the facilities have always been stellar, staffed by friendly folks. If you are looking for a place to camp with a group, there is no better spot in the Bay Area. Enjoy!
