I gave it four stars if you are looking for a rustic, small beach eatery. There is indoor and outdoor sitting. Service is attentive. The breakfast offerings are excellent and reasonably priced. The lunch/dinner offerings have burgers, sandwiches, and Mexican fare. Beer and wine is available and reasonably priced. Take out is available. It is a comfortable offbeat eatery with well prepared food and friendly service.

I went here a while back with a group of people and had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered steamed shrimp and it came out with the heads still on so I sent it back to have the heads cut off. I just really don’t want my food looking at me. Shrimp comes back and it was so overcooked the shells wouldn’t even peel off. I got half way through and decided it wasn’t worth the work, I’d just pick up food from somewhere else. I’m not one to complain because I absolutely do not like confrontation but I really didn’t think I should pay full price for it since I hadn’t eaten it and honestly they were terrible and the shells absolutely would NOT come off. I spoke to the owner and asked if she could just take a bit off the bill, I was fine with paying something. She commences to freaking out on me, yelling accusing me of trying to get something for free. When I realized I was getting nowhere I started walking back to my table to which she followed close behind yelling the entire way back. I turned around and told her to stop following me. There were two officers eating at a table close by and she turns around, looks at them, and then continued screaming that if I walked out on my bill she would have them arrest me. Mind you, a word was never uttered on my part about walking out on my tab. In fact, I never even asked her to take the entire meal off my bill, just a portion. She then stood there screaming at me until my party started getting involved and telling her she needed to walk away. That was the first and last time I’ve ever complained about a meal. Again I don’t like confrontation and to have this woman follow me back to my table berating me the entire time while I said absolutely nothing, is disgusting. I definitely will never be back!

There was no difference!.... A true like home experience!, This small little shack across the street from the St. Augustine pier really made my morning. I had a simple (2) eggs scrambled with (2) bacon and their home potato fries with toast. And it was like if I was home. I have pretty much been in all small & big dinners here in St. Augustine, and this is the “FIRST” to serve a great breakfast. I normally always complain about the greasy / oily / buttered to much food that some if not all serve, yet “Little Margie’s Cafe” made the difference. Thank you!!! I really enjoyed breakfast today, I will be back and bring my family over, and of course... you will get my recommendation. I wish I would had taking a picture of my plate... but it was surprisingly so good that I forgot to take a picture! Lol...

A local spot for the locals! This small eatery across from the ocean and diagonal from the SJC Pier is a gem -- that isn't very hidden! Almost always packed but rarely with a long wait this is the spot for fresh made breakfast and lunch prepared by the owner and her family. Prices are right, selection is broad, and everything is amazing.

The food was amazing for its price! The servers are really nice and were ready for any of my request. I will definitely be coming back!
