This place has great food but the drive through service at the location in Irmo was less than satisfactory. I waited in the line for 21 minutes after my order was taken for pork chop sandwich (not cold but not warm) and hash browns (warm). The 1 car in front of me was at the window at least 4 minutes before I pulled around (that’s how long it took me to pull-up and place order). I feel that to make all customers happy, they could’ve had the vehicle up so the rest of the cars could get their food if it was ready.

I only attend for my favorite liver-puddin breakfast. Excellent. Staff is usually very nice & accommodating.

I love Lizard's Thicket...but today the Lizard apparently left the Thicket. My squash casserole was cold and not cooked. My baby limas as if they'd just opened the can and poured them into my to-go. The mac-n-cheese was on point as were the fried chicken strips. But... 13 dollars is a lot for a meal with two sides not being cooked.  Also, the loud speaker is too loud and the attendant cut me off while I was trying to inquire about 99 cents desert advertised on the marquis...I couldn't bring myself to try and ask again as I was tired of being "screamed" at by the loudspeaker. I probably won't be back again, as I've been consistently disappointed each time I've been there in the past year. I understand this chain is a Columbia institution...but the prices have risen while the quality has lowered.

Definitely a diner-style restaurant. However, there are not many places you can get that amount of food at a restaurant so inexpensively. I definitely enjoyed my breakfast and felt the service was good. I think you get a good quality of food for the price... just do not expect anything fancy!

My sister, myself and my mom and her best friend are from out of town and absolutely enjoyed every bit....  Heard every location was different broad river in Irmo definitely gets my vote my sister and I had flounder with plenty of sides and my mom got the fried chicken breast. Our server was Mike and he was phenomenal.
