Story

In accordance with NC Law, membership is required to attend shows at Local 506. Local 506 operates as a private club in order to serve liquor in addition to beer. Memberships are $2 and available at the door on the night you plan to attend.

is a great venue. I prefer the cave and nightlight b/c I think their shows tend to be better and they are cozier. That being said you can see great stuff at 506 and they have a nice bar. Its big enough to not be super crowded but it can get packed at times. Saw Laura Veirs here twice and it was rad.

One of my top few venues that I frequent. Venue is on the small side holding only about 200 people max so its a bit cramped when shows are sold out or close to it. Sound quality is pretty solid but hard to hear well closer to the front. Great location with many food places nearby for food before or after shows. Bar serves soda and water at fair prices for underage attendees. Great venue overall.

Went to see some bands Sunday night.  Had a great time the staff is friendly and the bands were great.  Someone in your party will need to be a member, but it's only $2.00. and everyone else gets in on the membership.  Great place to see music.

Really cool setting, trendy-grunge decor is very well done. Pretty small stage and dance floor so can get pretty packed when a popular band is in town but you really get a more intimate performance. Good bar, cheap drinks and friendly staff. Would recommend to anybody and everybody who's cool!

I am so in love with this venue. It may seem small, but it's got more space than you think, and great sound. The music acts are eclectic but so talented, and the staff made me feel very comfortable about bringing my service dog here.
