Causal yet inviting ambiance. Service is great! Most of them are Italian. Food, Oh mine! Speechless! Delicious and yummy! Highly recommended!

Came here with my mom and son just after Christmas on the way to SFO. I ordered the pesto gnocchi, my mom ordered the lasagna, and my son ordered parm noodles of some kind from the kids menu. The servers there were super kind and attentive, the food was good. My mom ended up with a glass of red and my son and I got Shirley temples. The bread they put on the table was so yummy. Honestly, had it not been for the price my mom paid, I would absolutely come back again. Maybe I can bring my husband for a nice night out but it's definitely not a midweek dinner outing kind of pricing. I guess given the area, it fits, but I am poor people. We were seated outside which at first was weird, but I love that they have space heaters and blankets for the customers. Definitely worth the money. When we finished up, we ended up getting dessert. My mom got the cannoli and I got the lemon cake. My son got the lava cake but that was definitely very small. A delicious and amazing experience.

Amazing Italian restaurant. We had strozzapreti and clam linguine and both were amazing. Also tiramisu and limoncello cake were great, a well balanced flavour living up to Italian standard.

Locanda Positano has the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor makes you feel like you’re in Italy. Our waitress, Giulia not sure of the correct spelling, sorry!, was amazing. I tried the lasagna, Caesar salad, cannolo, and fritto misto. Breading on the fritto misto was well-seasoned and the lasagna was delicious. The lasagna portion was huge and I was surprised I was able to eat it all. I will definitely return!

I went here earlier tonight with my family for the first time, and the food was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Plus our server I wish I could remember her name, but she was a tall girl with brown hair in a bun and a striped shirt was absolutely amazing, like seriously the best server I’ve had in quite awhile. All you had to do was make eye contact with her from across the room and she instantly came over to see how she could help. It was my dads birthday and she made sure to bring out a desert for him and have the staff sing- my entire family was veryyy pleased with our whole dinning experience!

This place is amazing! The atmosphere was incredible, the customer service was fantastic, and the food was so delicious! We tried the meatballs for an appetizer and they were big and full of flavor! I had the specialty pasta and it was incredible! It truly tasted like authentic Italian food! Definitely recommend!!

We had a lovely visit to this Italian Eatery.  The open air seating was very nice and we were able to linger over our meal. The homemade fetuchini noodles with a house made veal and beef bolognese was outstanding!  Their house bread and dipping oil has great smoky flavor to it!  The beet salad was delicious!  The Lemonciello Marscapone Cake was perfect dessert foil to the pasta meal:  refreshing, creamy and not overly sweet.  Even with all that, it was still the waitstaff that won my heart!  Waitstaff is actually brought in from Italy and they were adorable, with perfect serving rhythms that showed respect and care!  This place truly wants you to enjoy and savor the glorious food, just as if you were at someone’s private home surround by a large Italian family serving a 12 course meal!  We will be back!  Enjoy!

Absolute neighborhood gem tucked away in an unexpected  nook of Lafayette. From the moment you walk up, the ambience and Italian coastal touches are warm inviting and as if welcoming you on vacation. The food is even more delightful - every dish thoughtfully prepared and unpretentious, and so full of flavor. The flatbread pizzas are a favorite of the kids, and I have yet to try a pasta dish I didn't enjoy. The specials are worth exploring - seafood risotto might be one of the best I've ever had! Great for date night.

Food is amazing, staff is friendly and manager is attentive. My only complaint is that it takes awhile to get a refill! Staff walks by and see that my glass is empty and no one comes over. That is very frustrating, avg wait time for a refill is 5 to 10 minutes. However, I will say, today we had lunch there and RICARDO was awesome. First staff member that quickly walked over when he saw my glass was empty and in general was very attentive. We had a great dining experience. His customer service really stood out!!

Had a lovely dinner here for a birthday!  The food is good and they have a great wine selection. Try the nebbiolo if you want a good occasion wine.  The staff is also amazing. Great sense of humor and very attentive.
