Story

The LAHC Library provides access to a collection on of over 85,000 print and E-books, periodicals, reference materials and databases that support the college curriculum and our students’ pursuit of their educational goals. Students should consider the library their first source when researching topics for papers or class projects or if they are conducting self directed study
in other areas.

Los Angeles Harbor College opened the doors to its new Library and Learning Resource Center (LLRC) during the spring 2014 semester. The new two-story building is comprised of more than 30,000 feet and is located in the central area of the campus. The building provides students with a state-of-the-art learning environment with more than 100 computers, and an abundance of study rooms, classrooms and lounge space. Unique features include heat resistance roofing, high-efficiency glass and horizontal louvers, motion sensor lighting, security cameras and “glass box” style rooms overlooking the campus. The building was designed with LEED requirements (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) where unique materials signify the sustainability of the building.

I love the school but the phone service could be better like when they call you and you call back the number is not in service and it's irritating and in my opinion rude seems to me they need a phone person for every department. Oh and the food in the cafeteria could taste and look better

I cannot even express to you how frustrated almost every department in this school has made me. Admissions loses petitions, financial aid has been HELL, and upper management doesn't even understand the bylaws of the school. I am finishing up my second degree in the fall, and will never look back. I didn't even participate in walking during graduation because I refuse to give this POS school another penny than I have to. I am one of the small percentage that actually graduate this school, and sadly, I am able to see why there is only such a small percentage. Do yourself a favor and go straight to a Cal State (or a UC if you can).

Really difficult to get through to the various departments by phone and apt. Bathrooms in the evening are despicable. Truck stop restrooms are cleaner. If there's an alternative I would look into it.
