Sometimes it takes a while for service, but that’s because this place gets packed!! The food is always delicious, service good and drinks refreshing. Try the 7Mares soup….omg, SO GOOD.
We were seated immediately. Ordered 4 drinks. The last one came when our table was almost done eating. Our waitress didn’t bring us our drinks or food her coworkers did. She was too busy yelling at the cooks. Made eye contact with her multiple times, and waved multiple times, for refills. and was ignored. When we finally asked our waitress for a to-go box she was heavily flustered by being asked to please get a box. Finally, the last time she shows up was with the to-go box and the bill where she’s finally smiling asking us for the first time how our food and drinks were. For a tip obviously. The food was great, cooks did a phenomenal job on taste and presentation. Waiters break the line on how great this restaurant could be.
I decided to check this place out after a long hike. When we arrived we understood that we had to wait in line but when tables started to open up the waitress tried to force us to sit outside. It was freezing so we politely said no thanks. Her customer service was terrible she was rude and inattentive. At first I assumed she was just having a bad day but after reading the reviews I see that she is always like that. She even got our order wrong because she seemed like she was in rush to get away from us. After I let her know my order was wrong she did notify the chicken and they did a wonderful job in fixing the issue. That I do appreciate but I will not go back. The food was okay but the bad service made me not want to visit.
This is a nice place and the food was good. They serve drinks and you can dine-in. Also, you can do takeout and my burrito did come with chips.The staff is polite. My only negative is that they did not let me get two different types of beans and add jalapenos to my veggie burrito. This was disappointing but my veggie burrito did taste good. Overall this is an ok place.
I came to Los Molcajetes for the first time today and I was very satisfied with my meal. However I was not satisfied with the customer service. The servers weren’t rude at all they were actually quite nice but it’s just that they paid almost no attention to us as if we weren’t there. They tried to have as little interaction with us as possible. No one came to seat us we just sat ourselves and when we sat down it took them a while to give us our menus. The waitress came back and took our order, about 15 minutes later our food came out. I ordered the Chile Relleno and Enchilada plate. It was very tasty and there was a lot of food on my plate so I was happy. But they never brought us our drinks we ordered and never gave us any napkins. When we were finished with our food we waited for the check to come but after 30 minutes of waiting we realized it wasn’t coming so we went to the front desk to ask for our check. Everything about my experience was good except for the service. I will come back for the food but that’s all. If they worked on the service it would be a much more enjoyable establishment that I would come to regularly.
If you want watered down beans, salsa, and almost everything on the menu…then this is your place! Expect only the most bland and disgusting food ever! It’s no wonder the restaurant was empty!
I was invited to this place because the food was "" I ordered the Molcajete with three meats, we we're a party of 9 including kids. Food was ok. I tried this dish at other restaurants and tasted better but is all good as longs as it has good flavor I'm ok. BUT the service and no the restaurant was not full because I paid attention to it when we arrived. Our order was placed and we ask for aguachiles so we could start eating them while our food arrived~that was the last plate to arrived and we had to ask for it, the waitress said they were still making it. Nachos, cocktail, burrito, wet burrito, 3 molcajetes, I forgot what one person ordered, but all those dishes were delivered at out table at random times so some of us done halfway with our food while some were still waiting for their dish. Oh, the tortillas we kept asking for them because our meals arrived and past 5 minutes no tortillas, we asked again and another 5-10 minutes passed and they brought 2 yes 2 tortillas for four persons that ask for them, eventually they brought few more. Not sure, I do want to come again and try a different dish but I'm afraid of the long wait for everything including getting the bill at the end, need to really think if I'll go back. I will post an update if I end up going back.
I always get doordash. One time I called my food in to go pick it up and it still took 40 minutes after the estimated time to get my food. Everything everyone says about the servers seem true. I had trouble getting them to let me pay for it instead of waiting until they got around to it. I always get their tacos, my coworkers loved their burritos. It's hella good. These tacos are waaaay better than taco alisco, too, its like night and day difference.
This was my 1st time here. The atmosphere looked inviting. And was enjoyable. We sat outside. We ate at about 1:30 on Wednesday. I wish they would have music playing... to drown all the cars and the fire station out. Also the service wasn't what I'd give 5 stars. It was not busy at all....slow. order took a while. To get the check took a while. Longer than it should being so empty. Also the food was subpar. It was good. But their "HOT" sause was meahh. I love to try different spicy hot sauses. I'd give it 2 stars. I even asked for the extra spicy sause and I got the salsa they serve with the chips. Overall I'd go back but be a little more specific. Not a lot of parking, shared with a lot of business. The plate sizes were HUGE! If your hungry definitely come here and try it.
