bland food, service grouchy. Would I recommend or return? no

The food is not very original. Is what I would call "Americanized Mex" food. We have dined here 5-6 occasions. The first couple of visits the waiters were friendly and attentive. Then on our next return the same waiters were unfriendly and not attentive. We were surprised by this. after a few months we returned and again noted the same poor service. Crossed this place off our list.

Long wait ... waited forever for food &drinks. When we were seated, we got a basket of chips with salsa. My son instantly was thirsty but nobody brought us water.
The server walked past us at least 3 times before we were acknowledged. All the while other servers brought us 3 baskets of chips and salsa.
When we were finally noticed, the waiter said that his buddy was swamped and he was going to help out. 
When we put our order in, the waiter brought our drinks but my 4 year old son's juice was still waiting to be poured. We asked for water and we still waited 15 more minutes before the water came. 
When the food came, I asked for more sauce to go on my tacos. The waiter acknowledged it but we sat and waited 10 more minutes before we finally asked someone else to bring it.
When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told that our waiter was the mangers brother and kind of like a manager as well.
The manager never came to our table. As we were leaving, he approached us so we expressed our disappointments and all we got in return was a sorry as we were walking out the door  This is the second time we have visited this restaurant with less than exceptional service. Waited an hour for the worst Mexican food I've had in a long long time.   Not one thing about it was good.  To add insult to injury it was about the most expensive Mexican food I've every had.  The enchilada was dry as a bone.   The sour cream and guac we ordered  never came.   the $17 bowl of shrimp soup had absolutely no flavor.    It was like shrimp and avocado in an unseasoned water broth.  My wife hated it my kids hated it, nothing  good to say about this place  We won't be going back.

Okay y'all I know what good Mexican food is and this place is bad!!! Wish I can give a negative 5 stars. I have a stomach ache while I speak. Service is okay. Prices are ok. Just think they don't wash their hands or something??? My girlfriend is also in pain. Will never ever ever ever come back. Okay I take that back. Only come here if you want to get sick to get out of work or school or life period. See ya

The food was above average for authentic Mexican food, and in very generous portions. The staff was genuinely friendly and prompt to our needs. We were able to enjoy a nice quiet dinner in their spacious additional room. We didn't partake in the bar scene, but it appeared very sports friendly. Overall, a nice quiet spot to visit.
