We eat here quite often. Very consistent. Service is pretty quick and servers are always friendly. Food is average but consistent. We usually get a Chimichonga and a big burrito

With Border Cantina in Brighton closing we decided to check this place out. The food was okay, we thought it was overpriced. The chips and salsa were tasty. However after taking our order we never saw our waitress again. We ran out of drinks, wanted a take out box, and our bill. She would visit other tables multiple times but never returned to us, maybe she forgot we were her table? Eventually I had to go to the cashier and point out my table to get a bill printed to pay. After all was said and done we don’t plan on returning.

This place was once a go to local spot. Open late with an economical menue with lots of options. The menu was redone and they close early-even on the weekends. Who ever made these changes did not have an accurate customer perception in mind. Fyi, just because the menu now looks better, does not mean it is better. Disappointed on what was once a cool local tradition

We will not be returning to our once favorite local Mexican restaurant. We noticed a whole sea of new faces last night as we were seated. We were handed the new menu and as we opened we not only noticed that it had shrunk drastically but the prices were also drastically higher. You now have to pay extra for your side of beans or rice whereas before it was included with your meal. We didn't let that stop is because like I said, it's our go to for mexican. We ordered some of tjat lovely white cheese dip and when it arrived it was half the size of what you used to get. It was in a tiny salsa bowl and cost $4. After 10 chips it was gone. Again, we still didn't pay that any mind and waited for our order. By this time kiwe had a familiar face helping our waiter, who seemed to be extremely new and didn't know how to use his voice. We received our order in a timely manner. This is where they lost me as a customer. I ordered fish tacos. A very easy dish and normally a very good one. I took one bite and immediately spit it out. It tasted like they just pulled the fish out of the local creek. Other than the nasty fish taste it had absolutely no other flavor. Our waiter ( the one helping the mute boy) promptly removed the fish tacos from our bill and asked if I'd like to order something else. At that point it was a no from me. We got our bill and what would normally be a $30 meal for 2 was a $30 bill for 1 even after my meal was taken off the bill. I went to the front to pay and asked why things have changed so much and was told it was a new manager. I told her I was sad to say that I wouldn't be returning only to be met with a rude smile and nothing after that. I'm so disappointed in everything we encountered last night except for our one familiar face, the waiter who tried to salvage my meal.

We took our daughter and son in law out. They ordered the fajitas for two their wasn't enough for one. Everything was just average with the exception of the fried ice cream which was amazing. So disappointed the great Mexican restaurant in Brighton recently closed.
