Good place for the basics. Not for special projects. Staff is not very helpfull. After three visits of them not having what I need, I'll stick with Home Depot.

I've been here a number of times and somehow they never have what I am looking for. I needed an axe to chop up some wood and they didn't have one. I needed some small 1/4" screws for a door lock and they didn't have them. I needed some seeds for the garden in the summer and they didn't have them. I needed to fix a lock and they didn't have the tumbler I needed. Seems like a big selection, but never what I need. Nto entirely true, but very often that is the case. Also, making keys at their machine is 2x the cost of making keys at Home Depot. Plus, very limited knowledgable staff. I was never such a huge fan of Home Depot, but I will say that in every single case I was able to find there the thing I needed. Lowes even gave out free $50 in coupons when they first opened and it took months until I could finally use it. One saving grace is that they are still better than the laughable disorganization, incompetence, and lack of inventory at the old KMart. :)

The service you get at this store can vary so much. If you’re interested in appliances talk to Francesca or Anthony. They are very knowledgeable & helpful. Before I ran into them I kept getting the run around in regards to finding out the status of my order from people in the appliance department who were reluctant to assist me at all. Thanks Fran & Anthony for saving the day !

Lowe's has good people, but they are limited on what they can do. First, I bought a refrigerator that when the men delivered it damaged it on some places and it makes a weird motor noise. When I called the store, the store manager did not speak to me he relayed the message through another manager. They offered to replace the refrigerator but not for the damages to my porch I found and a damaged refrigerator and the problems of a late delivery. I think the stores have limited capabilities and that I have to wait until the refrigerator got delivered for any compensation. The delivery men had to come late and was full of deliveries the store just give them so many orders and expect miracles. Not happy with my experience.

Closer than Home Depot, but I always forget that it's there! Also could improve their selection of pots. 5 stars nonetheless.
