Free Seminole War Battlefield Tour Taken together, the Seminole Wars were the longest, most deadly and expensive Indian Wars in United States history. Lake Worth Florida is named for General William J. Worth, who led U.S. forces during the last part of the Second Seminole War (1835-1842). The last large engagement of the Second Seminole War occurred near Jupiter Florida on January 24, 1838. From October through May the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists conducts free guided tours of the Battlefield every Saturday at 10am.

Awesome trails for biking or hiking with picnic areas within scenic and historical place. No need to be a pro, great for families.

This is an amazing park to enjoy the day. Make sure to visit Bird Lake as the sun is going down, watch birds come and perch on the trees until they are completely covered by birds. Bring your bike as there are tons of hard packed. easy to ride trails. Also, the canoe trip down the river is also fun. Plenty of benches, tikis and grills are throughout the park. You might see a few deer, peacocks and more. Make sure to bring your camera, as there are lots of interesting photo ops. Enjoy
