I've been working out here for around eight years because it rocks. Ludlow is a small boutique gym that's open 24 hours M-F. The great part about this gym is that in addition to a very low membership cost, they offer classes every day of the week in the studio across the street. From Yoga to Spinning, Pilates, Boxing, Zumba etc they pretty much have it all on the schedule. The gym itself is above the Duane Reade on the corner, with sprawling windows, so you'll get to do some people watching while you workout which is nice. The cardio equipment never has a wait but can get busy during peak hours. There is also a great stretch/cool down room with foam rollers, yoga mats, jump ropes etc. One factor that made me join years ago, was that unlike many other corporate gyms they didn't harass me via email and phone to join after a day trial. Ludlow also has towels, locks, showers and pretty much everything you need. I've even had a few times I forgot my hair elastic, and they had those behind the desk. The best part however is the relaxed, boutique local vibe.
