Story

The breathtaking scenery of Washington and Canada surrounds you here, from the San Juan Islands to the drama of 10,778-foot Mount Baker. Lynden's windmill and Pioneer Museum reflect the area's Dutch heritage. Explore one of three fishing ponds graced with weeping willows on foot or in one of the paddleboats. If you are not an explorer, you can play a round of 18-hole mini golf or take a dip in the pool. Be sure to visit the Kampers Den for a cup of espresso, ice cream, homemade pies and more. Gamers-don't forget to check out the arcade room. Campers celebrate with fun events like Mardi Gras, Western Days, s'mores parties, barbecues and theme dances. With a setting and celebrations like that, no wonder this KOA has been featured in Trailer Life and Sunset magazines as well as Go RVing ads.

We have been coming to this campground for years. It is family owned and operated and you can see the pride as soon as you meet the Martin Family. We stay there every Labor Day weekend and enjoy all of the fun with our family and families from all over including WA, OR and Canada. They plan events like the water balloon toss, tractor rides, Bingo, Cribbage Tournaments, Movie Night and even a big Dance on the last night of the season (Mostly an 80's theme which people seem to Love). The amenities there include a pool, mini golf, paddleboats, two ponds, a small game room, a snack bar (Best Ice cream Ever), laundry room and a small country store. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and they really make you feel like family. If you are looking for a Fun Family Old Fashion Camping Trip look no further than the Lynden KOA.

We’d been coming to this campsite since 1978 when our son was just one. It’s even our home away from home since. Now we’re on a yearly sight and have been since 1993. The Martin family has been the owners since 1979 and have made this the premier campground in Washington State if not the Pacific Northwest. For those campers reviewing it in the last few weeks they should know the campground offices and pool area are closed until March 2018. Things are not as pristine as normal, at least there are campsites available through the winter. During the caping season that really starts in May through September you won’t find a nicer or family friendly place to camp.

First timer. Great for families/kids which we don't have so it was a bit busier than we are used to. Lots of things for kids to do. Very close quarters but people are very respectful of each other. Nice to have full hookups.

Nice RV park. We stayed after Labor Day and it was quiet. Grounds are clean, spaces close. No movie rentals (most KOA parks have movies and books available).

More glamping friendly than actual camping. Staff picks and chooses which rules they will enforce and when. Kid friendly, but please teach your children manners and to not run around screaming and riding their bike at 6am. Even my kids were commenting on how oblivious most were to being respectful. Basically an outdoor hotel. Do not get the tent sites. We literally were under a bee hive. Had to keep my epi pen handy. At least 12-15 bees around us at all times. The only campsite I have stayed at in my 10 plus years of camping where they were an issue. Hung out at another site 3 or 4 spots down and no bees. Tent site neighbors were obnoxious and loud throwing a frat party until 3am. Kids enjoyed the pool and the adult swim time is nice and allows the kids to take breaks. We think it would be best if you have a trailer or RV to stay here and to keep in mind most people don't care about being respectful and courteous.
