Are you in Canoga Park ? This is the place to come to! Surrounded by food, desserts and other places to grab a drink we stumbled across this set up while walking around Topanga Social. Here’s my take: One drink we found particularly really good and one that we all ordered over and over again was “DOLLY LATTE”. First off tasted great, not too sweet and did it’s job in waking me up for my adventure out. I do wish I had less ice in the drink as per the video but based on taste 5/5 The drink that I was not a big fan of was the “Dreamsicle” I believe you need that liking of orange flavoring in a drink which I was not. But hey I have it a fry but for me was a 2/5. Thankfully someone else was fond of it and I traded them. The staff here were great! They gave their opinions on what we should try and even followed up with us if we liked it or not. They even remembered us after the first visit lol Now onto the price, it’s a bit on the expensive side roughly $10+ depending on the size and don’t forget the tip.
Good coffee. I am happy to have a coffee shop in the area which is open till 9 PM. I mostly order hot cappucino and it has tasted good consistently so far . I tried their iced latte as well and it was pretty good too. However their mocha needs a serious improvement. The chocolate sits in the buttom and as a result you dnt taste any of it untill the last few sips and they become extremely sweet. I think they should stir the chocolate with the espresso before adding the milk. The baristas are friendly and nice. Overall a cool place to have a cuppa and hang out.
The matcha here is really good, but the prices are pretty high. I’ve had similar, if not better, service and drinks at other coffee shops for less. I’ve been 3 times and after my last experience, don’t know if I’ll be back.
After several years of being a home barista, I rarely justify buying coffee at cafes since I can usually make it better and cheaper at home. The pastries here looked really good though so I figured I would have a cup with a kouign-amann they had on display. After being initially disappointed that they didn't have brewed coffee in the evening and having to settle for an Americano, my apprehension was reduced by the barista who assured me I wouldn't just get a watered down shot of espresso like one normally gets when bad coffee shops try to turn an espresso into a coffee by adding a ton of water just to make up the volume. I'm glad I agreed because both the Americano and pastry were delicious. The Americano had a balanced acidity with notes of apricot and the pastry had a great caramel crust and texture. The barista was very friendly as well. Top marks all around!
$7.94 before tip for an iced mocha. Also not sure why this place charges sales tax on non-carbonated cold beverages when other coffee shops are flat-rate. The espresso pulled was decent, but the mocha was not good. It tasted more like iced espresso with a hint of cocoa versus a proper infusion of Espresso w/ chocolate. If you pull espresso and use the heat from that to melt proper chocolate bars, whisk, add milk, stir, pour over ice, it'd probably be better than what is currently being served. I don't think it was remotely close to being worth $11.76CAD after tip.
Good Coffee. Doc Brown Blend bag. The barista convinced me to purchase the blend instead of a single origin. This blend would definitely shine as a milk-based beverage as intended. As a pourover, its nice flavors were a little muddled, but it was still a solid cup. I enjoyed it with a morning Bear Claw.
Great addition to the Westfield Topanga! Friendly, quick service; fantastic pastry selection; and the dolly drink w oat milk hit the spot on this hot summer afternoon. Will be back soon. EDIT: Aw, thanks for the reply! Actually planning on coming by again in the morning cuz the barista said you’re open at 9am - I needed a place in the area to grab pastries and drinks as a thank you gift, so it’s perfect =
I Am A Customer At The West Valley Location And I Became Buddies With Daniel And Angel Who Both Take My Orders And Serve My Coffee When I Am At The West Valley Location Twice A Week If Not More! Located near the entrance to Topanga Social near the Margarita Garden. Great coffee and down to earth baristas. Enjoyed the pastries as well. Definitely will be back.
Great new coffee place at the mall. Helpful staff, great pastries and coffee. Topanga Social as a whole was still working out the kinks of just opening, but the Mad Lab folks were awesome. I'll be back!
