It took me a long time to find a really good dentist that was knowledgeable, using advanced techniques in a state of the art hygienic dental suite. The staff is helpful, patient, competent and ever so caring. The professional team fully explains proposed procedures and works to customize pain management taking the anxiety out of treatments. Thank you so much Dr VanMeter, Sylvia and Rosa. Your work is awesome and today was perhaps my best appointment. Now the entire family benefits from your expertise!

I've been a patient here for years and have to say that Karina is by far the best dental hygienist I've ever had. She's very personable and thorough and does an excellent job with my cleanings and gives great product recommendations. I've never had to wait and the office is always very clean and staff is professional.

This is a big shout-out for the team at Manhattan Dental Arts.

Customer service is key and everyone at the front desk (Rosa, Carmen, and others) were super friendly, warm, attentive and professional! This facility came as a recommendation from a friend and I’m glad I made the change from my previous dentist.  I noticed that everyone greets with a friendly smile, take their professionalism seriously, and provides great service from the time you walk in to the time you leave the office. 

I went in for the usual routine visit and met Arti who was so gentle and caring during my cleaning.  Unfortunately, I was told I needed to go back for a scaling procedure (the thought of it was making me afraid.)  Not knowing what to expect, I met with Dr. Friedman, spoke with me about the procedure and made me feel comfortable about the whole thing. 

The day came for my first appointment with Arti and that went well.  Although extremely painful afterwards, I was satisfied with what was done.  A week later, I went back for my second appointment, I knew what to expect and it was even better than the first time!  I also liked that Dr. Friedman was concerned when I told him I developed soreness in my mouth and put me at ease that the pain would go away soon. 

Again, I want to thank everyone (Rosa and Carmen for explaining my dental insurance information, Arti for calming my nerves, and Dr. Friedman for making sure how I was feeling after the first scaling was done.)

Be warned - there's a reason there are almost as many 1 stars as 5 stars if you look closer...there's a pattern of shady billing practices going on here... I had been going to Manhattan Dental Arts (for Dr Daniel Jacobs) for a few years now and recently discovered a pattern of overcharging me on my coinsurance vs what insurance said that I owed (almost $200 more). I thought it was just a one-off error but then found that they did it both times that I had work done beyond the regular check ups. When I first inquired about a refund, they said they would look into it but that I probably had x-rays that weren't covered. Odd considering they said they needed to call me back so that they'd have time to look up my account. Probably not a good sign that they already had an excuse when they had already acknowledged that they didn't have my account in front of them. They said they would call back me by the end of the week. No call ever came so I tried them again a week later. This time Rosa (who said she was the office manager responsible for billing matters) answered the phone and said that if I would email her the EOBs from Aetna, she would submit them for a refund with the company that handled their billing. She said it would take 2-3 weeks for a refund to process. I emailed her the EOBs and it's now been 6 weeks and the numerous times that I've left messages for Rosa (both by phone and email), she doesn't respond. I managed to get ahold of her once when she answered the phone instead of the receptionist and she said she would call up "the Refund dept" and call me back a few days later. Once again, no response. And now when I call for her, I'm always told that she's busy or not around. I offered to wait on hold for her once when told she was with another patient and was told that she's just too busy to speak with me...so probably never getting that refund...next steps - attorney general complaint I guess...

My experience at Manhattan dental arts has be wonderful. The kind and attentive staff taking care of all my dental needs. My hygienist karina to say the least is awesome. Dr. Goldberg keeps me in a painless euphoria while he attends to all my dental needs, can't say enough about him. And to top it all off the manager Rosa and assistant manager Lauren always make sure I leave the office smiling. Highly recommend !!!
