I purchased a townhome built by Marcus Enterprises in 2008, the townhome was constructed in 2006.  Since that time, I have undergone 3 pipe bursts (of the same pipe), two siding issues, door seal issues, and other various issues.  The most expensive of which was a $3400 siding repair issue that my Homeowner's Insurance refused to cover, because it was very evident that the builder did the job incorrectly.  When a simple piece of siding flew off in early 2008, I contacted Marcus, as the house was only 2 years old to reattach the siding.  They told me that because the house was a foreclosure (which it was), that they where not obligated to fix the problem.  You can see the type of builder you are dealing with...  2 years after they produce a product, you are on your own...  The pipe issue was finally fixed (after it burst 3 times) when it was learned that the builder put no type of insulation to a pipe that went to the outside of the house.  This has been a common complaint on the row.  Windows are leaky, poorly sealed, and will leak, as with the doors.  When you approach the builder about any of these issues, the "go to" excuse is they hire whoever to do the jobs, so they have no way of holding them accountable....  Once you get true professionals in to fix the problems that should have been right, you learn just how poorly their homes are constructed.  Just when I thought I couldn't think any lower of this company, I witness two of their employees get into an altercation outside of a townhome on my block.  Both men are screaming profanity at each other, and then almost get into a fight, one of which holding a 2x4 in his hand.  All of this, as a group of very young children are being pushed in a stroler by their mother.  Stay classy Marcus, stay classy.  Do yourself a favor and invest your money in a company that stands behind their product.
