So firstly it’s a beautiful establishment with beautiful decor. You feel welcomed which is very thoughtful. The waiter service was perfect . The food was yummy , the duck pasta was a well thought out dish that was flavorful with a beautiful aroma .I would avoid the cheese but the olives were good . The wine choice could be improved . The picture of the drink is enough because I don’t have the name however I would come back just for that drink is how good it was to me; so we can’t just focus on the wine because their drinks are marvelous . The dessert was good as well with a great portion. So that basically sums up my experience with the nice establishment you will have to keep pretty coins nears I definitely recommend this place to eat or takeout .
Such a lovely hidden gem. We enjoyed every dish we had. The gnocchi was particularly excellent. The staff was so nice and attentive. Will definitely return!
Great service and great food! Lightly battered calamari, duck, lobster and shrimp pasta… yummy! The ambience was nice, not loud or packed. Good date place or small intimate group!
Still looking for a Valentine’s Day spot? Bring your date or pal here! We came here for dinner and brunch in January and both times were memorable. The proprietors have made a lot of thoughtful touches. A very welcome new addition to the block.
Perfect place for date night! Honestly this area in Soho is super picturesque and charming. Now let’s get to the food part. On. Another. Level we ordered the eggplant croquettes, fig burrata, lobster rigatoni, truffle gnocchi and the semifreddo dessert go and treat yourself be sure to ask for Hannah the waitress. She’s super knowledgeable and patient! Such great service and food
Nice selection and very good drinks. The frittas look lovely but could really use flavor more sauce?? Better bread?? Idk and one of us had some sort of French toast that was not very impressive and appeared overcooked and dry. The other dishes were nice with the gnocchi being a favorite. Aside from someone smoking right outside which always destroys any flavor or atmosphere the general atmosphere was nice and not too loud. We enjoyed it.
I do not think enough people know about Mareluna. However, They should. It is a neat little cozy neighborhood gem in Soho. With their signature renditions of classic cocktails and a few "only made here ones" I not only recommend Mareluna for small gatherings but also as a intimate solo spot for a quick meal or drink in the early evening 4/5pm I recommend as a main course the Duck Ragu!!
Utter perfection. Hands down the best pasta I’ve ever tried. This is what I imagine authentic Italian cuisine to be like. The flavors and textures were truly all one of a kind and each bite was one to savor. We ordered: 1. Mussel & Nduja Pasta $26 Never tried a slightly spicy pasta before and I’m AMAZED by how good it is! The linguini Verdi is cooked to al dente and is quite light with spicy olive oil as it’s main dressing. The veggie tomato bits added some nice extra flavor and the crunchy green bits on the side gave the dish a slight texture. It’s not really spicy by the way! My friend who cannot eat spice handled it quite well 2. Duck Ragú $29 Never tried pappardelle pasta before and in love with its thickness and width. Can definitely tell that the duck has been cooked for a couple hours because the flavors were so rich and the meat just melted in my mouth. The dark cherry balsamic added a slight sweetness to the duck broth. Just in love Still cannot believe all of these gorgeous dishes were each under $30. Truly some life-changing pasta, I cannot recommend it more. Mareluna definitely deserves more attention! Feel free to follow @julialikesfoodd on Instagram for more nyc food reviews:
They just opened this place. Amazing Italian seafood and pasta. It’s really difficult to find a good pasta restaurant so I’m happy that I found this place. I highly recommend their truffle one and a black ink pasta. Appetizers are all super good so make sure to order 1 each and try all of them if you can. Ice cream dessert was my favorite at the end! Great performance and a service. Perfect for a date or for a group!
Great food, good vibes! -1 star because they brought out a dessert for my friend’s birthday cuz I mentioned in my reservation we were celebrating, which was a sweet gesture but then charged us $15 for it?? lol, we didn’t even order it… weird. The Duck Ragu and Burrata & Figs w/ prosciutto were my favorite dishes. Each table has these mini lamps which really lights up the food and makes them look sooo good. Would highly recommend these two items.
