Gorgeous book shop with a wide variety of titles in all genres. They also have cards (boxes and individual), bookmarks, candles, and other gift items. The staff was quite knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy making recommendations. There’s also an excellent kids selection in the back.

Very cool little book shop in Durango. My friend and I had a blast thumbing through the shelves looking for new titles. I like their Colorado specific section. We didn't buy anything in that stop, but next time we'll be back to support this local business!

Awesome bookstore with lots of fun trickets. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Kevin gave us the most memorable best experience in a bookstore ever! This a must stop.

Loved it! Great little bookstore. Not a huge fantasy section, but still a good selection. They even gift wrapped for christmas!

This is my favorite bookshop! They always have unique displays with awesome feedback from people who read and work in the store. Finding books that are unheard of and very good is easy in Maria's. I could spend all day just in this one store. They change their main displays frequently and keep up with what people are looking for. They have excellent guidebooks that are found nationally and also ones that are produced locally with excellent local knowledge. Its location on Main Street is prime for enjoying the local scene. The staff is always friendly and get just as excited talking about books as I do. They even have rolling ladders so they can have floor to ceiling books! Maria's is a must for both infrequent and frequent readers.
