My grandfather brought me here throughout my childhood, and even though I've moved across country, whenever I'm in Eastern MA I make the trek to Maria's. The subs taste just like they did 25 years ago, it isn't just nostalgia. Why do pickles and tomatoes taste better when cubed?

Yes, it has a limited menu, no steak subs, and it is cash only.  But if you are from Scituate you know there is nothing like a Maria's sub. Their rolls are the best.  Don't ask for lettuce.  Folks in town have been known to say "I love you almost as much as Maria's pickles."  [BTW, I am not related to the owners.]

When former locals come home to visit relatives their first stop is here for a sub.

My Dad owns this place it’s the best place ever love reading all these awesome reviews on his place so amazed by him and his success!! I would agree with everyone on the best subs and pizza on the south shore it’s amazing to see people from far away to come and get these subs!!! Keep up the good work ❤️

I hate Marias Subshop.  The place stinks.  You cant even get a Steak and Cheese there.  Last time I got a chicken salad and almost threw up.  Ughh
