I've been coming to this vet's office for 5 years and I love bringing my pet here. The office and exam rooms are kept reasonably clean. The front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The assistants are wonderful and great with the animals. The doctors really listen and take time to explain anything you want to know. Whenever I have to leave my puppy at the vet's, I feel comforted knowing she has such great people taking care of her! They are also very considerate about keeping your pocketbook in mind. I've never felt pressured to pay for an unnecessary procedure, test or product. Nor have I ever felt judged for declining anything. Every doctor I've seen here has simply laid all the recommended options out, and let me decide. It's usually easy to get last minute appointments here too if your really concerned about your pet, so long as you aren't too picky about who you see. That being said, Dr. John is my personal favorite. He has a very thorough and gentle way about him when it comes to the animal which I appreciate. The only downside I could point to would be the fact that it is a smaller location, so it can get a bit crowded in the parking lot or main lobby at times. But in my mind that's a minor issue compared to the wonderful quality of care you get!

We took our 2-month-old Australian Labradoodle puppy, Bo, to Dr. Felts at Marine View Veterinary Hospital because Bo had bitten and accidentally removed some sutures from a hernia surgery. Dr. Felts was wonderful! He was great with Bo, and also was very knowledgeable and informative about our next steps with our new puppy. Everyone in the office was great too! Looking forward to having the folks at Marine View Veterinary Hospital take care of Bo!

We originally chose Marine View Veterinary Hospital because of the short drive from our home. Our 7 1/2 year old chocolate lab rescue dog is so frightened of riding in any vehicle, so I went on-line to fine a place that could be the shortest ride possible. After reading all the reviews, I was sold! They all proved to be true! Even Hershey is dealing with the short ride and seems comfortable there. What a friendly place, from the moment you step in the door! The vets are so thorough in their exams, etc., and go over any problems with good explanations. It is easy to see why so many others have been so pleased, too. Thanks to everyone there at Marine View for your great care!

My Rockie (Cat) kept vomiting, sometimes daily, but at least several times per week. I read you need to take vomiting seriously and call your Vet when it happens regularly. We tried treating him but nothing seemed to work. A suggested diet change resulted in weight loss of close to 2 lbs. After all this vomiting became his new normal, I would call and ask for directions when he vomited, they ALWAYS said to bring him in, so I did as they suggested. This led to a crazy amount of Vet visits over about 1.5 years. They made serious cash from this. I felt if I ignored the vomiting, that would make me an irresponsible guardian. Well, as the visits stacked up, I began to notice a change in how I was being treated by the Staff, in a negative way. Rockie was also being treated for painful hip dysplasia. They were fine to train me how to give buprenex injections, until one day the Vet said it was too hard to track since it was a controlled substance. (Suddenly???) How does one treat chronic pain? Only for a few weeks then call it good? I assumed this would be an on-going regimen. I have no idea why they didn't just offer the Oral option from the start, instead of training me to administer the Sub Q type. I wish they had. I also wish they would have reinforced that I didn't need to bring him in so often, because I would not have if it was not needed (which it clearly was not). I put all this together after changing Vets. The new Vet explained to me that was really way too many visits (implying Marine View Vet had shared some unfavorable opinions on the matter). He also helped me relax a bit about the vomiting, since he wasn't losing weight and the ultrasound proved nothing major was going on. He was also fine with helping me treat Rockie's pain without implying I might be abusing pet medication by offering oral buprenex (humans can't abuse that form). Rockie's visits went down dramatically (Bi-annual Senior Wellness visits only), and his vomiting reduced dramatically (likely due in part from adequate pain management!). Rockie was much happier, I was a lot less stressed (emotionally and financially). I feel the people at Marine View Vet contributed and even encouraged excessive visits, then suddenly blamed me for getting off on having a 'sick' cat. I find it very interesting how much things changed after changing to a new Vet. I regret ever putting Rockie through what he went through when being treated at this facility. I resent how I was treated toward the end and cannot, in good conscience, recommend.
