It is a pleasure and fortunate find to be working with Jonathan Marks as our realtor. We are moving across country and haven't been able to visit the area in person. Jonathan has been our eyes and feet on the ground. Through his very hard work he has been able to find us a nice house, in a great location, within our budget and given a very tight market!!! He has been very understanding and patient with the extra time and effort it has taken to help us on this journey! He has come through for us even after the house closing to make our transition to this new area and house as smooth as is possible! Jonathan is a wonderful person and great realtor!
I’ve known Jonathan Marks for 10 years and I can attest he is a jewel in the real estate industry. Although I haven’t bought a house from him, I’ve been in the unique position—as a personal chef—of having prepared meals for some of his clients in their new homes. They have all shared with me how much they loved working with Jonathan who took great detailed care to find them the perfect home, and how easy it was to work with him.
I know it sounds like a cliche, but after years of heartbreak and giving up multiple times on ever being able to move to Marin, our dreams finally came true and we owe it all to Jonathan, who promised the whole time we would find the right house someday and stuck with us longer than he probably should have. Not only a great realtor and a sweet guy, Jonathan is widely beloved by everyone to whom we mentioned he was our realtor. "Oh, you're working with Jonathan? He is so great!" And they were right.
Working with Jonathan was an absolute pleasure. We were new to the area and he worked diligently to understand our needs - both in terms of what we were looking for in a house but also neighborhood. He created a tour for us to visit the different cities of Marin on our own time and responded promptly and thoughtfully to every question we had. I would recommend him to anyone looking to move in SF or Marin!

We just moved into our dream home in Marin + are beyond grateful to Jonathan and his team for helping us get here! Jonathan is a seasoned pro who knows the Marin market inside and out, and he’s also a pleasure to hang out with. Our search took years, due in no small part to our “champagne taste on a beer budget” finicky-ness. A lesser agent may have fired US, but Jonathan was unfailingly patient and optimistic. He also never once tried to talk us into a place that wasn’t quite right, and was ALL SYSTEMS GO when we found The One. We were prepared to be outbid yet again on this spot, but with Jonathan’s wise counsel and speedy follow through, we were able to do our diligence and write the winning offer on a place that got multiple bids. He’s also been so generous with his resources and hooked us up with all kinds of experts to help us get settled in. We’d just about given up, but here we are in a home that checks almost every box on our unreasonably long wish list. We literally wake up every morning and say to each other “can you believe we get to live here?!” We sure do, and we can’t thank Jonathan enough for getting us here.
My husband and I were so lucky to find Jonathan! We were nervous to start our “forever home” search in Marin County, especially with the current market of low inventory and high interest rates. When taking us home tours he was very knowledgeable and subjective, pointing out both positive and negative aspects of each property. When we found our dream home but it was slightly above budget, Jonathan introduced us to a new mortgage broker, who helped us bring the home into our budget. Jonathan helped us comb through the inspection and made sure we were comfortable at every step of making an offer. After getting our offer accepted Jonathan clearly guided us through the closing process. After closing, he continues to be an excellent resource by providing recommendations for handymen, plumber, etc. Working with Jonathan will make a home buying process as easy as it can get, and best of all he is professional, knowledgeable, has tons of resources, and incredibly genuine person.

Even after the sale was finalized, his support didn't cease. He continued to check in on us, offering recommendations for service providers and displaying genuine care for our happiness in our new home. It’s not just that Jonathan and his team absolutely know San Francisco and Marin housing markets, it’s how Jonathan cared and helped me approach what was right for me! And when we did find that place, he knew how to make an offer successful! From consideration to close I was in good hands. I can’t recommend them enough.
Jonathan helped me find a very special home in a very special place - at a time of rising interest rates and vanishing inventory, and for a price I could afford. When I think of Jonathan, I think not so much of a realtor as I do a matchmaker. Jonathan’s primary concern was first to get to know me, then to get a sense of the kinds of houses I responded to - and then to find me the right one. He was also very determined to find me a home that was a sound investment. Ironically, Jonathan talked me out of many places I was ready to settle for during that okay, this strange housing market. He never failed to point out drawbacks and downsides that I was ready to overlook - or didn’t even see in the first place - with all the properties we looked at. Jonathan’s encouragement and optimism, along with his awareness of properties before they even came to market really paid off for me. So did his good relationships with so many other realtors throughout the area. Jonathan knows how to close a deal quickly and at a reasonable price. Working with Jonathan was not just rewarding, it was also fun. He’s a great guy, and a great guy to have on your side throughout a life changing process. Highly recommend.
