Very very nice trail. As I was running with my dog and I thought I would stop by to see what a group was talking about. They were talking about the sheep that were grazing a few feet away from us. I was watching and listening what the woman who worked here was saying, she talked about a foundation for kids. She also brought up how tasty the sheep under 1 year old are. I lost all my respect for the people who worked here after hearing that. For being such a family friendly park I wouldn't think they support the murder of animals for food. I'm not a hippie, I just a kid who loves animals. Carb up so you don't want to eat animal flesh. Go vegan. (Goes for the cows here too)

New neighborhood park with a history and agricultural theme. Opened in 2015, but parts of the park are still under construction, with no word as to when it will be finished. The park has several nice, clean, picnic sites to choose from. Some are for groups only and require a reservation, some are first come first serve. There is a children's play area called "Uncle Monty's Discovery Farm" (named for one of the family members who used to live on the farm), and it is next to an expansive green lawn area, complete with stone amphitheater. I haven't found a very accurate way to measure just how many miles of trail i have walked in my time there, but i would guess its a little more than 3 miles, all together. There will be more once the back portion of the park opens! Looking forward to it! On the weekends, their visitor center/ history museum is open to the public and the park rangers and docents give at least 1 tour every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. There is a $6 flat fee for parking for the day, otherwise walking in and the tours are free! The park rangers have said that the goal is to have most of, if not all, of the park open by 2020. Looking forward to it!

Great for walking or running. The foot/bike path is mainly flat. The path around the entire park is about 2.5 miles. There is a small playground in the middle of the park, but no slides. There are a few areas that you can use for a BBQ. They also have a farmers market on certain weekends.
