Probably the saddest "neurology" dept on earth. They don't like what you have to say-- so they don't see you. A doctor refusing to help a sick person should make you think twice before choosing this hospital. You are better off elsewhere.

Yeah, brutal. This department refuses to give my wife a second opinion based on the fact that she saw a neurologist at B&W who apparently has the final say on everything in Boston. I have a deep respect for doctors in Boston as a patient of DFCI myself, I can honestly say that I'm shocked to have been told over the phone that not a soul in the neuro department will even bother to see her after meeting with this guy. He basically dismissed her condition and referred her to someone else without a care. So I get on the case and find an amazing doctor at Mass Gen that specializes in my wifes condition..turns out she is booked out 2 years! That's pretty amazing. So..how bout another neurologist at Mass Gen? Nope...Dr. at B&W put the brakes on any help at all. Be forwarned..all these docs know each other and talk sh&$. Great help from the best hospital in the world...

What is really sad about this place is that they refuse to see me because my doctor was unavailable at BWH so I saw another one at the Brigham who happens to also work at Mass General. Clearly this hospital is not for the people. They called it a "conflict of Interest." Way to care about sick individuals!
