I'll never go back to massage envy again. They don't know what a deep tissue massage is. I think the women are over worked because they really phone in the massage. Don't recommend this place, even with a Groupon it would not be worth the price.

Facial at Massage Envy
I wasn't impressed at all. I have been getting facials for over 30 years at various salons throughout the Seattle-Tacoma area as well as the east side. Needless to say,  I was really surprised to learn that it is now  Massage Envy's policy that all estheticians must wear gloves throughout the entire facial procedure.  Frankly,  not only does it feel weird to have latex gloves crinkling while sliding over my face,  but mostly I find the glove protection idea quite offensive. 

When I enquired about this policy,  the management maintained that they are protecting me, as well as themselves. WHAT?  This makes absolutely no sense...   If an Esthetician throughly washes her hands w anti-bacterial soap before and after each client,  exactly what is she protecting the client from?  And if she is protecting herself from the client (me), well  call me thin-skinned... (pun intended) but THAT truly is insulting.   This is my face we're talking about,  not the bottom of my feet.

And lastly,  I was informed that another reason for gloved-clinicians is to protect them from product exposure.  Really?   Now I find this reasoning bazaar to say the least...   Why, do I say that?  Well because apparently the same product which Massage Envy deems safe enough to use on  my face,  is now a problem (possibly unsafe)  for an estheticians delicate hands.

My Massage Therapist, Mandy, has been great with reducing my pain.  Very professional and an expert.  The front desk staff is attentive and friendly.  10/10 would recommend.
