I want to start with saying that this is my first time writing a negative review. I work in dentistry by appointments and  know how it's like to have  a schedule. I was very disappointed to see how Massage Envy in  Renton Landing handled the situation with me, the patient who had been there for a while, never canceled last minute or no-showed, who always satisfied with everything and tips therapist every time. I got to to talk to Paige, who introduced herself as a site manager. What a shame! She was unprofessional,  with poor common sense and communication skills, who instead of making sure that her client's concerns are addressed, just disregarded me. Now, with all the bad publicity on TV and media, I would expect just a little more care from the  Massage Envy management. 
Here's my story in the short version. I received the call at work yesterday asking me why I'm not there for an appointment at 8 a.m. I said that I never come at 8 a.m. and my appointment is actually later today at 8 p.m. which is when I usually come in on my work days.   And then, I was told that I  would be charged anyway  and if I disagree I should talk to the manager. And I did talk to Paige, the manager.   I explained that miscommunication happened for the first time and I am not willing to pay for something that I don't consider my mistake. I pointed out that the lady who called and reminded  about the appointment two days prior,  confirmed for 8 o'clock appointment without specifying that was AM time. Otherwise I would inform her that I didn't schedule that appointment  and I don't come in the mornings. She disregarded my explanation. She said that they never make mistakes and I will have to pay anyway. What really made me mad is the fact that Paige said that Massage Envy credits me one massage a month as a thank you and they will use that credit to pay to the therapist. What a manipulation! The company gives me nothing for free. It is part of my contract with them to receive 1 massage a month with  the monthly membership fee that they signed me up for a year when I first came in.  I have called out Paige lying and asked her to connect me with the person she reports to. She declined my request and called me back today again saying that she got to consult with the management and they taking her side. 
I'm writing this in hope that higher management will see the situation and  address it with me appropriately.

I have been going to this location for several years, with very positive results. My current therapist Rhonda really listens and remembers what works well for me. She is careful to apply the right pressure and find the areas of tension that my body holds onto. The sugar foot scrub is awesome. The only negative to me is that since this is a chain, therapists change frequently and it is sometimes hard to find just the right one. I still miss Tawnisha...but regular massage is something I do for my health. Thanks, Rhonda.

Warning!!!  do not support this buisness. They offer you reduced rates if you buy membership it is a Annual contract while telling you you can cancel it anytime. Lie they will send you to collections and hold your credit hostage. I suspect they under pay staff and offer incentives/spiffs to sell sell contracts. This business model is preditory.

I was a client of Massage Envy for one year - I ended up buying their membership. I was unhappy that they raised their prices halfway through my membership - it was their right to do so, but had they kept the previous price for customers who had already committed before would have been a positive move, and I'd feel more inclined to renew.
Also, because I bought my membership in another city, I had to constantly contact them to solve any issues. It seems like their system doesn't properly communicate between stores.
Finally, the quality of the treatment you get really is based on the professional - I was lucky to have a great therapist for a few months, but I noticed that they tend to leave the company often.

The worst!!! Management is not qualified to manage a spa!!! It given me more stress then helping me distress.  Call after bad services. Never was call to address any issues.  I spent all month emailing and called to cancel my membership.  I moved 175 miles away and they don't have a massage envy.I wanted to cancel the membership.  I went to into the spa to speak to Lexi the manager. I was told I would be called when she came in . I called the corporate office and still haven't heard back. This is the worst place ever!!!

I filed a complaint with the better business. 
They are selling and advertising a service and not providing .

Beware. Go elsewhere.
