I would recommend this restaurant to others. I went to celebrate my birthday. The cocktails are fantastic and the atmosphere is romantic, fun and classy, yet casual. They made right an undercooked and then overcooked steak, handling the situation very professionally. The Brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing, while the sweet potato fries were less than desirable. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Best steakhouse in the OC. The bar action alone is worth the trip, but the food is outrageously delicious.  The stakes are obviously the main draw,  and all are done exceptionally well. They also excel at non traditional Steakhouse cuts like veal, lamb and pork chops.  All great.  

I always opt to sit in the bar area side... It's really fun with great live music and tons of energy every night of the week.   The regular dining rooms are just that... nice but nothing special. There's no terrific ocean-view,  so that's not what you're here for anyway.  Add in normally great service and you have the makings of a special night out!

Service was outstanding!  All the food was on point, properly cooked and delicious.  The only criticism was that the crab legs on the towering seafood platter were tasteless.  They had no real distinguishable taste to them. Very bland.  That is the only reason I could not give 5 stars. Highly recommend it however.

In what could have been a terrible night Mastro's made sure I had a great night. My rental car battery died and I could not move the car from the valet line. Brian made the transition of swapping rental cars seamless and I was able to not worry about my rental situation, but go enjoy dinner. Once inside Brian took great care of us and made it one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had. The people here really went above and beyond. I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service I received.

Mastro's Ocean Club in Newport Beach, California is a  high-end restaurant that serves excellent steak and seafood. Martini paired with their seafood tower is a must-have! The steak was super, along with wine & dessert. The service is also excellent, with Bret as our host.
