J dropowski. And her African American peer acts as if they don't go through the same things we in society go through and are very hard to communicate our needs with. Mat yrs in police department is slow and need smarter police officers so that time will be spent correctly. Thank you

Edit: Officer provided the police report. Cost me $13 to get it, but at least it's available. Officer got my phone number wrong, which doesn't bode well.  

Police responded reasonably quickly to my traffic collision, but they're dragging their heels on producing the police report. What's more, the officer told me not to collect the other driver's insurance information at the scene, presumably to funnel me towards their paid police report database service. This is just plain bad advice and is blatantly exploitative. I can't get my car repaired until I get that information and they're holding it hostage behind a pay-wall.

Officer Richard Marquis is one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional officers I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. There are so many complaints about him in the community; it's not even funny. From bogus tickets, to perjuring himself in traffic court, to extreme unprofessionalism when dealing with the public, I'm disheartened that the police chief has not stepped in to correct his terse, inappropriate, and questionable conduct. Let me be clear: I am NOT a police hater.  Quite the contrary.  I support and respect our public servants to the upmost. He, however, is a discredit the profession. I have personally reached out to the police chief with hope that he would address this officer's behavior. The fact that he has not is alarming. It does not bode well for the force, and it does not foster positive relations between Matteson PD and Matteson residents.
