The Friends of the Maynard Public Library is an all-volunteer non-profit organization, supporting the Maynard Public Library.
Our mission is promote and support the Maynard Public Library, which is an important and integral part of the Maynard community. We are an all-volunteer organization governed by a Board of Directors.
We sponsor events such as:
An annual kids Reading-Mania Marathon
Book Sales at the Maynard Farmers' Market and on MaynardFest weekend.
Lectures and readings by authors such as Greg Maguire, Kate Flora, Jeff Kinney, Tom Perrotta and Katherine Hall Page.
Public service lectures such as our job-finding series.
The annual winter film series at the library.
The Friends also contribute 100% of the approximately $4,000 cost of providing Museum Passes, which provide discounted admission to local and Boston museums and parks.
