In Brentwood for work and was looking for Mexican for dinner that was relatively close to my hotel. I was a cold, rainy night and I just wanted some comfort food. Enter Mazatlan. The restaurant wasn't brightly lit, but instead was somewhat subdued, given the aesthetic was dark woods and leathers on the seats. There were a couple screens showing news and sports, but nothing too loud or overwhelming. I was here on a Monday and was seated immediately at a booth near the door. The restaurant wasn't very busy and after about 5 minutes I was greeted by my server whose name I never did get. He gave me the customary chips and salsa and took my drink order. By the time he came back with my iced tea I knew what I wanted and ordered then. I went with Combo #13 one enchilada, one burrito, one chile relleno. The chips and salsa were tasty. Not amazing, but tasty. Chips were a bit done for my taste, but enough salt and salsa can fix just about anything. About ten minutes later my meal arrived. The food was delivered in about 10 minutes and was very hot, but not extraordinarily appetizing. The presentation was lacking. If I hadn't remembered what I ordered I wouldn't have been able to tell by looking at the plate because it was very...monotone. Each of the three items were covered with a different, but very red sauce. The food was, indeed, served very hot. Each of the food items was good, but not remarkable. It was hard to tell the burrito from the enchilada. The plate my food was delivered on was....aged, and didn't do anything to enhance the appeal of the meal. Service was kind of spotty once my food was delivered, when I needed a drink refill, and when I decided I was ready to go it took quite a while to get my check. I'm pretty unsure about Mazatlan and will have to give it another go the next time I'm in Town. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I can see where it could be great, so I'm looking forward to another visit.
Little hard to know where the entrance was considering the sign was on the wrong side of the building. Took a "minute" to get the check and a to go box afterwards. Other than those 2 little things everything else was excellent. Best mexican food I've had in a long time.Food: 5/5
Wonderful experience! I always get a full order of Jim Nachos with rice. The cheese sauce was EPIC! The customer service never disappoints. I am a regular! I recently help my granddaughter's birthday party there. Ernesto and staff took very good care of the many family and friends. We were able to bring decorations.
If you like plain Jane grilled chicken labeled as fajitas this is your place. No seasoning at all on my fajitas. Cold chips.. salsa that looked like ketchup and had no flavor.. I won't be back.. taco bell is better at Mexican than this place.Food: 1/5
Wow what a great surprise to eat. Ordered me a carne asada steak plate. Plenty of steak, flavorful, seasoned good and nice char marks on the outside but cooked medium in the center. Plenty of rice and beans. Salsa has enough heat to keep you dipping more chips.Recommended dishesCarne Asada
Not good at all. I was brought the wrong food and I couldn't even tell what I was brought. I was then brought what I ordered and I was still sad. The burrito was not good and was covered with some weird sauce that didn't have much flavor. Beans and rice and a strange flavor that was not recognizable. I didn't even bother trying the taco. I would not go here again.
I love it !! My family and i always go here and we love the way they serve and food fresh on time. Perfect sunday to spend with friends and family Came back honestly fresh n hot food.
This is always a good place for me and my mom to go to lunch. Sweet tea is always super good. I love their lunch menu prices and the staff is always attentive
Mazatlan is our go to Mexican restaurant in Brentwood. All about that queso. First timers really need to try the Jim's Nachos & Rice.Food: 5/5
The service good and the food came out fast. The cops and salsa seemed pretty basic. The food was ok. Huge portions. If you’re looking for affordable Mexican with huge portions then this is your place.
