Good food at good price. Staff was very attentive. My drink never got empty. Food timely and good. Could be slightly larger meals so be sure to get an appetizer

I am terribly disappointed.  My mom, Ronan and I had dinner yesterday at Mazatlan Mexican restaurant in Denton yesterday and will not go back. The food was tasty, as usual, but service was horrible. I do not know if ownership has changed as they have always been very accommodating, but we have never been treated so terrible as we were yesterday. We both had nachos with all the fixings and asked for to go containers and were REFUSED a container for our salsa! We didn't ask for extra, we just wanted to take with our food what we had already eaten from! The server and the manager continued to tell us the salsa was "complementary", which I guess is code for you can't take it with you. But, take it with me I did by asking for a to go cup for my drink.😉 QUESTION: Is Mazatlan reusing the salsa you leave behind? Why a restaurant would rather have a dissatisfied guest rather than accommodate their guest is beyond me. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEAD AT MAZATLAN.

This is a very down home Mexican restaurant the wait staff are very friendly. You get ample food quanity. But, if you are expecting hot hot sauce or very spicy food then you will be disappointed. Other than that the meals are very good.

This place is great for a nice cozy meal. It's a small place, but it's comfortable, and homey. The service during my visit was great. Quick and friendly. What I ordered however was just ok. I ordered the ranchero sauce enchiladas, and unfortunately there was hardly sauce on them. The rice and beans were both very bland. Surprisingly, what saved the meal were the chips and salsa. Simple, yet flavorful and they were refilled immediately.
