Was in town for a work trip. This place was recommended by a friend. The bartender was great company and the wine and steak were amazing. I loved the cozy warm atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
This is a place where you dress up for sure, it looked to me that most people were in their late 40s, have said that it was an excellent service and amazing food! Definitely a keeper of a special occasion.
One of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette for fish and crab. The owner Ghasson Harb is a hands on operator. I have never been there and he hasn’t. The fish is alway super fresh, filleted in house to assure it’s the best available. The crabmeat is always delicious and abundant.
My husband and I were seated right away, food was fantastic. Had smoked salmon, oysters and lamb. Superb !!
My partner and I had dinner for the first time. Steak was absolutely delicious. Our server, Kat, was very tentative and we were in the back room. We enjoyed the back room because we could just hear the music performer but it wasn’t as loud as when you first walk in. We were told that the sides change often, but we really enjoyed the broccoli and potatoes. Additionally, GET THE SOUFFLÉ!! It had some sort of house made cream and it was absolutely spectacular. We also got the cheesecake with the raspberry sauce on the side - and that was easy for them to do. I would highly recommend this place, and ask for Kat as your server!
6-4-21 dine-in at 7:30 We were seated in a smaller section of the restaurant...and most of the patrons were complaining at how the service was almost in-existent after initial orders were taken. Waiting 20 minutes to get checked on/have drinks refilled is a LONG TIME. OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND: OBJECT TO GETTING PLACED IN THE BACK ROOM UNLESS YOU'RE OKAY WITH BEING NEGLECTED AT A PLACE YOU WILL BE SPENDING $200.00 AT. lol GREAT COFFEE--VERY SMOOTH BLEND! The crawfish claws were okay, but I will never order those again. Thick/very dark but pretty good gumbo--almost to a stew consistency... The tarter sauce and cocktail sauce are winners. Lol THE STEAK!!!!!!! WINNER!!!!!!!! BEST STEAKS IN LAFAYETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will forget that R.C. place on Pinhook, after you eat a steak here. The sides? C'mon...you can offer better and more quality sides. The green beans and the potatoes could be so much better. How does a restaurant have good meat/fish and piss-poor sides? Hopefully the cooking management does better for their patrons with the sides.
My to go order was awful! My half salad of shrimp avocado was literally 5 pieces of lettuce thrown about with an avocado and two under cooked shrimp. I ordered steak well done, and it was medium rare. Broccoli casserole was good, but won’t be returning.
Mazen Grill—One of our favorites for a date night. Gus and his staff always make for a beautiful experience. The food, atmosphere, and service are always great! Big thanks to our server Megan—you were fantastic! Started with some dirty Martinis. I like Bombay, while Rogers enjoys Grey Goose. Mazen always offers pita with a dipping sauce—it’s perfect while trying to decide what fantastic meal to choose from their menu. We ordered 1 1/2 order of their sautéed crab claws. Yes! You can do that. I wish they sold them like crawfish…yeah, I’ll take 3 pounds. Ha. Excellent! I chose their hearts of palm and artichoke salad while Rogers had a cup of their Bisque—I had to taste his, and you know it’s good when it coats the spoon. Delicious! I ordered the special, which was Red Snapper Biscayne—pan seared filet of fresh snapper topped with artichoke hearts, diced tomatoes, and jumbo Louisiana shrimp and served in a jalapeño, garlic, and olive sauce. I’m really picky with fish dishes—Mazen always impresses me! It was mouthwatering, scrumptious. Rogers ordered the past topped with Louisiana jumbo shrimp and crab meat. Again, a big hit. I have to say Gus’s crab meat is always so sweet, buttery, rich, and delicious. What a great date night. I’m a huge fan! — eating dinner with Stephen Rogers at Mazen Grill.
Great experience from start to finish. Setting up a reservation was easy and convenient, and the location is easy to find. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed! Our server was attentive without being overbearing, which was truly appreciated. The atmosphere is very nice, and the restaurant feels upscale. Oh, and the food I ordered was amazing! Thank you for a great experience!
Wonderful food and friendly servers. Portions are moderate, and well plated. The lamb was excellent, as were the steaks and appetizers. Of course, the souffle steals the show at the end!
