Loved the experience of going to this restaurant. I got the three tacos, one of each (pork, steak, and grilled fish). My favorite was the grilled fish but the pork were really bland. I wouldn't get it again. My husband got the enchiladas and they were pretty good. The chips and salsa were unique: fried corn tortillas you break apart yourself. You choose your own salsa at their chips and salsa bar which is right up my alley 👍🏼I would definitely go again and try something new. Oh, definitely get their red punch/tea that's next to the lemonade. I can't remember the name but it was delicious.

Like many restaurants capitalizing on the gourmet taco scene, Mazunte was an early adopter of re-imagining traditional Mexican fare with modern style, served in a (needlessly) funky/hip way, served on (no doubt sustainably sourced) bamboo trays. Atmosphere is casual industrial with flourishes of color and wood, which combined with the outdoor patio and Corona umbrellas, it's enough to make you forget you're in a strip mall. Overall, the formula is successful; they offer a unique experience with quality ingredients that is arguably overpriced but no less delicious. Downsides: no table service, guacamole is tasty and fresh but not as good as Bakersfield, and the plastic bucket self-serve margarita station feels cheap. Highlights: fresh salsa bar, roasted corn on the cob, house made chips, outdoor seating.

If you are coming on a weekend get here early or be ready to wait, but the food is totally worth the wait! So good! The street corn is only seasonal but you should always order it if it is the right season. Also the chips and salsa bar is totally worth the $2.50 you pay for it since the salsa and chips are all homemade. Best Mexican food in town!

To be honest, I really wanted to love this place based off of the reviews, but I just can't do it. I've experienced both the dine-in and take-away experiences but have not been impressed with either. The dining space is far too limited for the amount of patrons they serve, and the tacos/entrees end up far too soggy by the time you can determine where the pick-up and check-out line ends and begins. Maybe one day I can experience the authentic, great tasting quality of food that everyone professes to have, but until then I remain a skeptic.

I have been here two times and the food is always amazing. It can get busy at lunch and dinner times very quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The parking lot can also fill up quickly, but there are spots around back
