I have been an on again off again Mazzi's customer since I was in college in Corvallis in the late 80s, then Eugene in the early 90s and then again since 2010. Located in front of Hideaway Bakery, dinner here is always cozy and comfortable. Seating can be scarce and service can get a little slow when they are busy at the peak of dinner, but the staff, especially the long term veteran staff, always work promptly to make you feel relaxed. The kitchen always served quality, correctly prepared meals. They have a seasonal creative list up front and familiar favorites in the rest of the menu. My wife and I really like their house Italian dressing tossed salads. I love the house made pasta and it's among the best in Eugene. Mazzi's is comfort and quality, and the list of options is long, including pizza (but I always order entrees). The wine list is good, especially the Italian imports, and there are inexpensive carafe options. I've had some less responsive service at times with new trainee servers, but this is only occasional. When I want Italian comfort quality dinner with decent service, Mazzi's is the place. They feed me delicious meals when I'm a little jittery. And I keep feeling eager to come back.

They make there own rolls here and all there pastas! This is my mine and my husband's go to place for date night when in town. I always leave full and happy! They have a to die for Pesto ranch that is super good! A little pricey but it's worth it for a night out with out the kids for dinner!

I loved the setting. The food was good and the customer service was friendly and pleasant. I will be dinning there again.

Had dinner there after a nice hike in Hendricks Park. We arrived at 9, half an hour before closing, in our very casual shorts and tees. The wait staff greeted us kindly and told us we had plenty of time to eat, no problem. The waitress recommend an excellent house white wine blend, The rolls were perfectly crusty on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Stuffed mushrooms in a wonderful cream sauce went down quickly with every drop of that deliciousness wiped clean with the rolls. My walnut/cranberry /blue cheese salad was also good to the last drop. Richard's salmon was perfectly cooked and surrounded by another delicious sauce. Although we were the last ones there, we never felt rushed or that we were inconveniencing the staff. Richard wished the salmon fillet was larger, but is there ever enough delicious salmon? We rarely eat out at nicer restaurants because we are frugal and good cooks. Mazzi's is becoming our go to for these special occasions - good service, cozy atmosphere, and excellent food well worth the cost.

Very good food, I really enjoy coming here. They are a good deal for the quality of the food. Do expect to have to wait for a table by most evenings.
