Very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, nice music. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious, fresh donuts, coffee, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, lunch items, reasonably priced. Amazing cakes!

Awful. Went there recently and there hardly seems to be anything set out (and I came in in the morning!) and what is seems old and in some cases sloppily made (there was a dessert bread out that was far from professionally iced). The service seemed surprised and a bit offended at any questions we had. The breakfast we ordered was bland and a bit overpriced. The cookies were bought were verging on stale! We came here when I was a child (and it was called the Kirkwood Bakery) and it was wonderful. Full racks of freshly baked goods and friendly service.

Just went to McArthurs in Kirkwood for a sweet treat was disappointed as we were told they had no hot coffee as they close in 45 minutes...so you're a bakery and you shut down your coffee 45 minutes before closing. I have never heard of that ..shame on the women behind the counter - who sells baked goods with no coffee available 👎 Bad form McArthurs' management 😕

A nice little bakery with plenty of room for patrons to work, eat, or play. They have soup, salads, and sandwiches in addition to a wide variety of baked goods. My kids like the doughnuts. I prefer the gooey butter danish if I am looking for sweet. There sweet potato frittata is one of my favorite breakfast items on the menu. They have a little leaf on the menu depicting items that are vegetarian, which is always a welcome gesture. In the upstairs area they have a few games and other family friendly activities to enjoy while you have your food.
