We stop here every year on our way up north.   It used to be a sort of tourist attraction for us with its log cabin theme and decor. Unfortunately, whoever decided to remodel it has changed the indoor up north charm to a more eclectic, institutional look.  The music playing has been more of an appeal to teenagers.  It's no longer a must stop and experience spot on the way up to get food and enjoy part of the northern trip experience.  Disappointing.  It's near the expressway so you can get back in with ease.  Same McDonald's food you can get everywhere. Service was so so last time I stopped.

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would give the 0. I am a driver for Indian Trails and all i ever have is problems at this McDonald's!!!!! We run on a schedule and they always are slow here. They usually only have 1 person running the register and I spend my entire break in line. The workers are slow and inconsiderate and don't know people skills. With all the people I bring in they told me I can't order what I usually order which is a large meal which I pay for at other meals. From now on I will warn my passengers about how slow they are here. But, I will never eat here again, even when I am paying for it. Considering I live in Traverse City and work in Kalamazoo,  I go by this location quite frequently.

Had a long wait during the lunch rush. They left my burger sitting on the tray for a good 5 minutes before putting it back in the warmer while waiting for them to fix the screw up on my mom's burger. The wait, i understand, but leave the food in the warmer until its all ready. My burger wasn't cold, but it definitely wasn't hot.

I'm just passing through with my 4 year old granddaughter in the middle of a six hour drive trying to place an order with her bouncing off the walls. The members of the staff there were so helpful in helping me place my order and calming my energetic little one. Thanks so much for making that easy!

No biscuit and gravy. Nice people. Nice, clean store, did not order, only because they did not have what we wanted, and a down machine.
