Story

McLean Construction Company is family owned and has been in business since 1964. It’s been in the same location since 1972. The current owner is James Broecker, nephew of the original owner. James is a very proud of the repeat business he’s now getting. People who’s houses he worked on more than 20 years ago are now calling him to do it again. When you call for your free estimate, James is the one who’ll come to your house, not some commissioned salesman. And he never sub-contracts jobs. It’s always his crew that comes to do the job. The complany has an office in Troy, MI since 1972.

It’s amazing to me that Bernadette Barber, Brien Ashton, Doris Hartfield and James Bohn (these are the only profiles I’ve checked, I’m sure there’s more) who all left 5 star reviews for Mclean Roofing have also left 5 star reviews for Toms basement waterproofing, Trugreen Lawn Care, Ram Residential, Brickworks Property and many other companies. Is it a coincidence that all these people have used the same companies or is this some low life business practice of trying to bump up reviews? I have a suspicion it’s the latter. I was researching companies to quote my roof but I will not be calling Mclean…. You cant BS a BS’er

Just from my experience, I don't know how these 5 stars come from. I truly doubt it. Since I just called them since the 5 stars. They said they'll come and get me a quote for my repair. But they never did...

We were very excited to contact this company with such high reviews.  I left a message about a small siding repair caused by wind on my second story.  I was told I would receive a call back, but never did.  I called and spoke with someone  and they said they would be out to look at the issue and call me back with cost.  I never received a call, so I called back the next day.  Someone had indeed come out to my house and looked at the job.  They gave me a price and said that they would be out to complete the work within the next two days.  Nobody came out to do the work.  I tried contacting the company numerous times after that, leaving numerous messages with no return contact made.  Finally I went and rented a ladder and did the repairs myself.

They did a great job.  I had a total roof replacement and the entire process was seamless.  The crew showed when agreed, the work was fast, and with the exception of having a new roof I couldn't even tell anyone had been there .

Their installation price was at the very bottom of the range I was expecting, they spliced numerous pieces together and made it look seamless, and they improvised when some of the materials didn't fit properly. The end result was a first class job that looks great. Thanks, McLean!
