We are cash patients (actually belong to a Christian share program), MedExpress is the cheapest place we've found so far for after-hour care. For a strep swab/test its $119. They stock the basic antibiotics and a 10 day supply of amoxicillin cost us $15. The place is clean, large waiting room, and usually they get you through in an hour on the non-peak days. The only downside is they close at 8pm, along with most other urgent care centers. Unfortunately we made the mistake of going to the new pediatric one instead of waiting til 8am, $360 later we still had to drive to Walgreens. (My fault for not asking ahead of time)

Took my child there with obvious signs of pink eye. He is a military dependant so he has Tricare. I don't have a card but I have all the information including the sponsors social. They wouldn't see him cause I didn't have a card. They are so worried about money that they don't pay attention to the actual patient. This is why people take non emergent issues to the ER...places like this that see dollar signs and not the welfare of our patients.

Super long wait times. Also, it would be awesome if they could send the rx electronically. After waiting 2hrs for a 2min visit, we would like to by pass the 1hr for the rx too.

I have to say the staff (receptionists) have always been great. But the doctors haven't. I take my 2 young children here when I can't get them in with their regular doctor. The last time I took my 2 year old she was covered in bug bites. She just kept waking up with new ones everyday and we were getting very concerned also she has bad reactions to bug bites. The doctor told me that she had bed bugs. Not one single bite even matched the characteristics of a bed bug bite. I asked how could she have them and not the whole house. There's 4 other people in the house. She was just saying these stupid things to just get me out the door. A week later I ended up at my children's regular doctor and explained to her the situation that occurred. She told me that they weren't bed bug bites they were mosquito bites and that her bites didn't match the characteristics of bed bugs. And all the characteristics I had asked were correct. These doctors will tell you anything to just get you out the door. My husband has had very rude doctors and also he will go in the complaining of an issue and they won't even look at him just write a prescription and send him on his way. My 6 year old niece was told she had strep throat, when she wasn't getting better she got taking to her regular doctor and turned out she had mono. Unless you know what is going on with yourself I wouldn't waste my time with going here. Most of the time service is quick though I have had wait an hour just a handful of times. I guess if you have no where else to go this place is ok but honestly you could be getting treated for the wrong thing.
