Both Ames and Boone location suck. The bank tellers are really nice but the loan officers are hard as hell to get a hold of and it seems like they have no concept of time. Who would’ve thought that 30 minutes after 1 o’clock would end up being sometime after 4, currently on hold. 

On hold tone “were currently working hard to answer your call” no bih I work harder scratching my a$$

Hi Guys, So I have a car loan from GICU, at APR of 2.74%. I made 13 regular payments on time but I want to refinance my loan to get better APR %. Do you think you can help me with that ? I have a full time job and plan on making regular payments

I dont usually make negitive reviews but I just want to warn everyone to stay away from this branch/company. We had a overdraft happen months ago, which was 100% our fault but in result of that the bank did not give back the money they tried to pay another company with resulting in a lose of 100 dollars. We in the end owed or bank an overdraft fee and the other company still. Some how 100 dollars dissappeared into thin away ans they refused to fix the problems. Any other incident happened with a small payment being made but the system crashed at the shop resulting in them not recieve the payment. Once members first was told of the issue they refused to pay the company and said we the cuatomer had to pay again even though it already had gone though on our account it just was never received by the store. So now closed our bank account nearlu two months ago and suddenly we get a notice in the mail about an overdraft on tje said closed account. The card that was used does not exist and the accountwas suppose to be closed!now they want us to pay them again for their mistakes. DO NOT BANK WITH MEMBERS FIRST THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS All these issies have only occured aince we started going through the Ames branch. Not to mention multiple occassions of attitude and snark by the tellers.

One of the single most demeaning experiences I've ever had in my life.  The worst, but by no means the only, thing that was done to me was the man helping me set up a membership mocked my name right in front of me.
