Story

The Consulate-General of Mexico in Dallas is a diplomatic mission of Mexico in Dallas, Texas, United States.Alfredo Corchado of The Dallas Morning News said that as of 2009, in terms of activity and size of the area Mexican population, the Dallas consulate is considered to be the third most important Mexican consulate after Los Angeles and Chicago. The consulate moved from 8855 North Stemmons Freeway to 1210 River Bend Drive in January 2009. On Wednesday May 6, 2009, lawyers filed a class action lawsuit in the Dallas County District Court; in it four Dallas County residents said that "corruption and greed" were in the consulate. In August 2009 the Mexican government announced that it would remove Enrique Hubbard Urrea, the consul general, from his post due to allegations of corruption. Hubbard was very popular with area immigrants.

If there was the option of NO STARS I would. It is crazy to think that this is here to HELP AND SERVE their OWN PEOPLE but that's not the case. They are here to take money and not serve. Parking is $10 plus on top that if you dont have an appointment you can't go in.Consulado SERVE YOUR PEOPLE PLUS YOU NEED TO CHECK ON YOUR EMPLOYEE CUSTOMER SERVICE CUZ IT SUCKS!!!!

Unprofessional and lazy people there only, employees are running around like crazy monkeys. You have to pay $10 for parking to get bad service.

The consulate moved to this location a couple of years ago, on tv I watched a representative talk about the accessibility of this new place. More parking spaces, a magnificent move I thought since the old location lacked of parking. Once I arrived I entered the parking lot of the building, and to my surprise every single spot was marked 'reserved for employee' and had a traffic cone in front of the spot. No big deal, I thought I'd just drive to the back and park. WRONG, I was greeted by a sing that said 'exiting consulate parking. Parking is 10.00' or something like that. I immediately drove right out, it makes no damn sense that the parking lot for 'employees' was half empty and you're forced to park somewhere else for 10.00! Is not even about the money is the principal of it. Why move to a more spacious building if you're going to 'reserve' all the parking species for employees that don't even exist. I have no reviews regarding the service because I didn't even make it in. If they're taking advantage of people by making them pay and park in another parking area. I can't even imagine the service. I will be alright with not having a Mexican passport, the American one will do for when I travel to my country.

Let's start off by saying that you have to pay $10 for parking, okay that's whatever but when you get here 30 minutes before the time of your appointment, that took a month to get, and it still takes you more than 2 hours to get your documents processed and it takes them more than an hour for then to hand them to you, it's ridiculous! It's very frustrating to see employees walking around not doing anything just looking around talking to others or on their personal phones... need to work on a better system, I paid for my passport renewal at 11:25am and it took them 1hr and 25 minutes to finish making it. Be ready to spend around 2 and half hours here.

Feels like you are in Mexico! I was lucky, they attended me in less than 30 minutes.
