Mi Cozumel Cantina was good. We googled restaurants near us and off we drove. The building is nice. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms were clean. There was a Mouth Wash Dispenser in the restroom, so cool. We ordered food and lemonade drinks dry ice the smoke was fun. The presentation was everything!!!! I thought, there is noway it could taste as good as it looked? Wrong!! The food was BETTER.. I ordered a stuffed shrimp burrito and then added chicken... I could only eat 1/3 of the burrito.. Everything was good. We would return if ever in Cincinnati.
I will get the not so fun part out. Our waiter was very short tempered and a little rude. I went to ask a question and he was gone. Yes, the restaurant was busy however I had never visited before and had questions. Now let’s skip to the good part. The portion sizes are more than enough for two people. I had the shrimp tacos. Which came in a quantity of 3. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fine and light hearted! The drink prices are fair for the size of the drink. There is plenty of parking. Please note six or more in your party the tips are automatically included in the check. Give the restaurant a try and review the menu before just in case you get a short tempered server.
The staff and food deserve 5 stars! But the atmosphere leaves more to be desired. We were there to celebrate my son’s birthday and there was a very loud party by us that was very distracting. The loudness wasn’t the issue but an intoxicated guest who was sprawled out on the restaurant floor was appalling. The management should have asked her to get off the floor or have someone take her home because this shouldn’t be acceptable behavior in a restaurant. Also this could be a big liability on this establishment since they served her so much alcohol. This continued for the first 30 minutes or so that we were there and the lady was being overly loud and o quite frankly obnoxious. If we were in a club or a bar, I wouldn’t have cared. But a restaurant with children there? No. Once she left, things improved and we really did enjoy our dinner. Staff was attentive and accommodating and the food and drinks are the best of any Mexican restaurant around! I wish they would make sure their guests are respectful of others around them. I would hate to see this place close because of this kind of thing. This area needed a good restaurant for people to enjoy!
I've heard "great" things about this place so I stopped by after bible study to order take out. The staff was attentive when we walked in, pleasant, placed our order fast and we didn't wait long. From where I stood, restaurant appeared clean and well kept. Slight crowd and people coming as we waited. We ordered 2 soft taco "deluxe" combo chicken/beef with rice/beans, taco salad and special chicken burrito. My opinion on the food..."not great"!. My food was cold, beans and rice was good but it was all cold, didn't even eat the beef taco, the meat on the salad looked dried out, the chips was hard & over cooked, the guac was over seasoned and salsa was frozen . My son said the chicken burrito was the best "he ever had"...it was huge! I knew I was taking a big risk ordering to go but I did & I probably will never eat from that location again. I will give a second try but at the Tri-County location.
Exciting Atmosphere, Tasty Food This was my first visit to Mi Cozumel. I ordered online and went inside to pick up my order. I loved the colorful decor and the music gave the restaurant an exciting atmosphere. I ordered a Hot & Spicy Burrito. It was delicious and big enough for two, although it wasn't quite as spicy as I expected it to be. I would have given the restaurant a 5-star rating except nobody was wearing a mask. Not one employee and not a single guest. I still believe masks are important to health and safety.
The staff that eventually greeted us in the crowded entry were very courteous and accommodating, seating us as soon as 2 seats at the bar became available! However, once seated at the bar, no one acknowledged our presence. There were several staff members who passed our area, at least 5 different associates. We stopped the first young man after he greet and immediately attended to another customer who sat down 20 minutes after us. We asked for water and drinks. He brought water. We asked if we could plavlce drink and food orders, and he replied that he wasn't our waiter. We asked a young lady she said she'd get someone. After 30 minutes, we got our drink order placed. Got the drinks, but no one ever came back to take our food order. Would have loved to try the Corn and Steak fajitas, yet all we ever got was A Lonely Drink! When we asked to speak to the manager, he said " Well, do you want to order or Cash out!" Yep, we CASHED OUT FOR GOOD!
I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Mexican foods but this place is freaking amazing. The service is great the people are friendly and the food is well worth the money. I had never been here before and took my wife out for a date night and she likes Mexican so we figured we'd give this place a try. You can't go wrong here. 10 of 10 will be back.
My family loves Mexican food. We've tried many restaurants around the city. Yesterday my husband suggested we try Mi Cozumel in Brentwood Plaza. It was fantastic! The service top notch! Fast and efficient! The food delicious! Flavorful and abundant! Fancy, fun, adult beverages...that will not disappoint! I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
This is a fun little place to stop at , decorations amazing menu vast and looks amazing as my neighbors told me plenty of seafood we stopped at this location cuz of Taco week but we also agreed to split one of those fancy drinks, came in a treasure chest with liquid ice and smoke. It was amazing. It's probably even worth a 40 minute drive. The service was a little slow for being such an empty restaurant on a Saturday for lunch and it seemed to be staffed appropriately, another patron had a small incident with a cleanliness issue that could have definitely been handled differently, but overall a great spot I will be back Vegetarian options: We got a veggie taco, it was delicious and me personally, I think vegetables are sad Parking: Plenty of parking and plenty of accessible parking for all types of people
Best birria tacos I’ve had this far. Great drinks that remind me of Miami. The seating/waiting could be better than standing in line and in the cold at that. There were multiple birthdays celebrated and it was a cute set up! I’d return even for my birthday! I saw this place on tiktok! I went to the location at Tri County mall but it had a ridiculous wait. Great food and service. I’ll return one day.
