Mike LaVoy and his team were absolutely AWESOME to work with.  He knew that we were looking for our dream house and found just that. Not only did he find our new home, but he sold our home in less than a week. I would highly recommend Mike and the gang for anyone looking to buy or sell.  He is a true professional!!!!

My wife and I cannot say enough about Mike LaVoy.  We were looking to move back to the Carrollwood area, but had certain specifics in mind.  We initially met with Mike viewing a property he was showing as a seller's agent.  When we were looking for a buyer's agent, we turned to him. 

We met up with him again over lunch.  We found him to be relaxed, but in the subsequent afternoon spent looking at properties, it became clear that Mike had great strengths for someone needing help to find their home.  

Don't let the easy sense of humor distract you from the true work and knowledge Mike has/puts in for you.  He knows the area well and in detail.  He knows strengths and weaknesses of the various area neighborhoods including HOAs, trends and other intangibles beyond the regular agents' knowledge of schools, and prices.

We enjoyed our time with him while easily discussing serious issues and concerns about properties we were considering.  The MOST IMPORTANT thing for us was that Mike was ready to serve as our agent with our goals, comforts, and interests in mind.  He did not pressure or advise in an attempt to gain a sale.  He would readily point out flaws of properties and give honest appraisals of when he thought a property was worth (or not worth) the asking price.  He may be easy going, but he comes prepared and with that wealth of knowledge.

Finally, he also really got a feel for what we were looking for--in some ways before we knew how to vocalize it to him.  During or property hunt, he would drive us through neighborhoods where he thought we would fit (and eventually did), and at other times show us why certain areas we were considering were a bad match.  ...because in the end the house, while supremely important, is secondary to place.  Place is number one with house and cost coming second for most buyers with reasonable financial profiles/goals.  He didn't try to put us somewhere that wasn't in our best interests just to get a sale.

In other words, it showed how much he understood the tangibles and intangibles, but also had a true feel and commanding knowledge of the local area.  

As well educated and professional people, we recommend Mike LaVoy without reservation...and will continue to do so to everyone we meet who needs an agent who keeps their clients' needs firmly in mind.

I have known and worked with Mike for several years when he first helped me with our home after my husband died.  He was very attentive during the sale of the previous house and instrumental in the purchase of my current home.  Mike has always told me what his professional opinion was, not just what I wanted to hear.
