I rented form Michiana Homes and Rentals for about a year, I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. Alicia was always very responsive to  my phone calls and their maintenance was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend leasing from this company. And if you look at the other reviews, they are most likely from younger people who have never rented or lived on their own before and do not understand the policies of a proper move out

Fellow domers, stay away from this rental agency.
1st,  I lived on their property "611 N Frances street" for a year, my car was broken into once, and many time, people came knock on my door for money!!
2nd, when I moved out, I very carefully cleaned the house using professional service, yet they still found excuses to keep almost all of my deposits. (Their excuse was trash left on the curb, which I I have arranged the city service to take care of) As mentioned by other renters, they try to scare you away by a letter from a lawyer. I am still going to sue them next time I go back to SB. 

Business like MHAR does not deserve to survive in the ND area. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

ND students stay away! Leased a house from MHAR senior year and they illegally kept our security deposit by making up damages and refuse to show receipts. Attempted to scare us away with a brief letter from a lawyer. Many other seniors leasing with them had the same experience. We will be writing to the university as a group to warn them of MHAR.
