After seeing the museum was listed on Google as open on Monday 4/2 at 10:00 we decided to check it out. On arrival we were told by a nice gentleman that the museum is not open this time of year. Someone needs to update the info on Google.

Super cool Lake Michigan museum! They have lifeboats and exhibits based on the lake Michigan shipping industry. Free entry with the purchase of a ticket on one of the specialty boats. Staff was super friendly and helpful and our sunset cruise was absolutely fantastic. It's definitely worth a visit if you're interested in naval or maritime history, or just want to take a minute to get away from the heavy foot traffic during the holidays.

My husband and I visited here with a couple of friends during South Haven Fest for their haunted museum "Fallout" exhibit and it was spectacular. You could tell they put a lot of thought and work into the exhibit and it showed. It was not too scary and well laid out. We will definitely be returning to visit the museum during their normal exhibitions.

This place is a amazing experience! Not only is the museum and grounds interesting and entertaining, you can also sail the tall ship Friends Good Will. A 1 1 1/2 hour sailing will run you $35 / person, but it is an incredible experience. If you're in the mood, you'll even get pulled into service hoisting and setting the sail.
