We had heard there were new owners at the Midway Duck Inn. We are long time customers, probably averaging 8 visits per year. It seems some changes were made, some good some bad. The salad is much improved as is the bread. The fried chicken recipe seems to have been changed or a new cook has been hired. On This  recent  visit the chicken was cold and greasy, the fries are now a seasoned type but were limp and also greasy.  The onion anglers were also limp and greasy. I hope the new owners/management can get it back to the excellent food they are known for. Perhaps it was just a bad night, we will give them another chance in a month or two.

Nice place for lunch and dinner.  Fried cat fish and fried chicken very good. Family oriented.

The Duck Inn never disappoints! Corn fritters are the bomb! Food was great, only complaint is too much seasoning in the chicken batter. Service was also excellent!

Quaint supper club with the air of duck hunting history along the Illinois River.  Steaks, pan fried chicken, frog legs, sandwiches among other things on the menu.  Take a short step back in time.

Food not as good since it's under new ownership. Chicken and fish have been overcooked last few times. Everything seems to have sweetener in it. Been going there for 50 years, hope it gets back to what it was, I would hate to see it close down.
