I absolutely love this place. They are truly iconic with awesome staff. I would go here every day if I lived closer. Seriously, such a good vibe with such good food. Massive portions and everything we got was delicious.Food: 5/5
Food is pretty good pancakes nice and fluffy with the right amount of vanilla and not the cheap stuff toast was a little bit burnt for some but just right for me the Philly hash browns are what I came for generous amount of steak grilled perfect and the cheese is on point however I like my hash brown crispy but maybe I should have specified that to the cook it was hard to eat it all but I made a way will try the cinnamon rolls next time I come back
Just a classic cafe for breakfast and wings! I got eggs waffles and sausage patties it was great for a diner.Food: 4/5
This is a breakfast/diner restaurant that has been family owned for many decades. No wait time when my partner and I went at 10:30am. I got the Philly cheese steak egg scramble and my partner got the typical 2 eggs, bacon and toast breakfast. The Philly cheese steak egg scrambles was hot and good. The cheese was melty and the steak had good flavors to it and it was on a bed of hashbrown that was good 3/5. We also ordered a cinnamon roll that we saw was microwaved to heat it back up but tasted like your typical cinnamon roll. Gooey sauce and soft middle, was decent 3/5. The only con to the place was the service. The waitress was nice and so was the other staff but we never got asked for a refill of water and coffee when there was only us and one other customer in the restaurant. The only time they came back after getting our food was when we were already done with our food and then asked if we wanted more water or coffee. Overall, an okay place with okay food. Would've just liked to have had more attention for refills when needed.
I absolutely love this place!! The roast beef sandwich is phenomenal and you can't leave here without a Pasty either!! So good!!Food: 5/5
I am a sucker for a Mom and Pop dive style diner. Today's visit was a mixed bag. We found out after ordering the Cook forgot to turn on deep fryer so country fried steak would be delayed - not good, but ok since not in a hurry. We were compensated, without any protest, with Carmel rolls that were seemingly several days old. Is that negative times negative equals positive? I dunno, at least heat them up to try to hide the staleness. Portions were generous, eggs were cooked decently, and the Philly breakfast I would order again. Score saved by kind and personable waitstaff, I will give them another shot! Hopefully a day like this is not the norm.
The past few times I have come here, the service has been HORRIBLE me and my partner sat for 30 minutes. Both waitresses looked at us and ignored us. They then proceeded to discuss who was going to serve us while still not communicating with my partner or myself. We decided to leave. Today, I called 15 minutes ahead and they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. We drove 15 minutes to get there and had to wait over 20 minutes at the restaurant for 3 pancakes and a burger. If I could give this rating less than one star I would. I’ve come here for the past 10 year and over the last 6-7 months or so the servers have been horrible. Wouldn’t recommend this place until they get new servers.
My mom and I like to go to Milda’s for a bit of nostalgia. As Finnish Northsiders this is as close as it gets. My mom was Confirmed at the Finnish Church a block away and her first time to Milda’s was in 1966. Staff is Excellent! The food was large portions and delicious. We split a warmed up warmed Up Cinnamon Roll and as Finn’s we know good bread and the rolls are delicious. This place is so family friendly and just has a great neighborhood vibe.
The food portion was actually pretty good for one person and the food was delicious. I love my bacon crispy and this place was on point. The place was clean and good amount of people. I’ll definitely come back again. I love the service there also, they’re very friendly.
Excellent food as always. I've been going to Milda's since childhood, and at the ripe old age of 42 I was pleased to see Milda's added to Grubhub. I'm less than a mile so the food arrives piping hot and have yet to get any bad food. We will continue to order and look forward to trying the pasty. Brings back fond family memories of going to Milda's early in the morning right before mass with my grandma. Nice to see an original Northside business still operating and serving our community.
