My husband set up an appointment go get my nails and hair done. He was recommended this place and honestly don't know why. I felt rushed from the moment I step foot in the place. My stylist rushed me to make a decision about my hair and then cut it shorter than what we had discussed. It was as if she was just trying to get me out of her chair. The nail tech was more pleasant but still very short with me. She recommended a certain line of nail polish because,per her, it would last longer. Well my nails started chipping the next day. While I appreciate my husband's gift, I will definitely not be going back again. I'll spend my money at a much less expensive salon and get much better customer service.

Thank you to Kate and her assistant Dakota for my beautiful balayage! I am so happy with the outcome and can't stop getting compliments! Everyone here is friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they put a lot of time and care into their work. Definitely recommending to my friends :)

Earlier this week, I went to Milk and Honey for a color correction. My stylist was great, she was friendly and did exactly what I wanted. My one star rating is due to the pricing. I was initially quoted $180 for my treatment, but end up being charged $300. I was pretty taken aback by this since I was being charged a whopping $120 more than what I was originally quoted. I feel that what I was charged was extremely unfair because $120 more is not a reasonable margin of error for this type of estimate. I hope my review serves as a fair warning to potential customers that this company will mislead you in order to take more hard earned money out of your pocket.

I know this spa/salon comes very highly rated but I want to let others know about the experience I had. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and booked several services after confirming the products they use are all natural and safe for pregnancy. One of my services was a cut and balayage color. I'm not that knowledgeable about the coloring process but asked 3 times during the time of booking if the ingredients for color/this specific service were all natural. I also asked if I could have
an early appt time to avoid any fumes. I was reassured that the ingredients were natural and because they were natural, any smells would be safe so there was no need for an early appt. When I arrived at the salon, I once again asked my list of questions and was told the same thing. I sat down and my stylist started adding lightener to my hair. The smell was exactly like what you would smell at a regular salon..chemicals and bleach! I asked her if the color was natural and she said it's impossible for a lighter shade to be natural and confirmed it did have chemicals and bleach in it. Bleach and harsh chemicals are not safe during pregnancy obviously and I was just sitting there breathing it in. I was incredibly stressed that this was happening especially after I had been very thorough with my questions and had essentially been lied too/mislead. I was very clear about the service and color that I wanted and none of this was explained to me. The stylist asked me if she should stop but warned me that the color in my hair would turn out orange. We agreed to wrap up what she was doing, not finish the color, but try and foil it to prevent the fumes from hitting me. About 10 minutes later, I was so stressed out about my baby getting exposed to these CHEMICALS I just had her wash it out, canceled all of my services and went home. The appointment ended with me in tears and feeling so much stress when this is the one chance I had prior to the birth to take time for myself and relax. I had 4 hours of services booked and was so excited about this splurge day. The manager comped my haircut but there is really nothing that can rectify this situation considering the dishonesty of the spa and the chemicals already exposed to my babe.  She also asked me "what ingredients are you trying to avoid?" after the fact - I shouldn't have to give a list of ingredients. It's either natural or synthetic and this place should not be marketed a certain way if they think bleach is a natural product that's ok for pregnant people. If you're expecting I would highly stay away from this spa.
