First time here today and this was the best experience I've ever had at a veterinarian. The staff was attentive and fun to be around, the place was beautiful and comfortable. The vet cleaned my cat's teeth and had to pull a few. He kept me informed the whole way and even went over the x-rays with me. Very professional. This place gets rave reviews and I see why. Great website too.

I cannot imagine a more perfect vet clinic for my dog. I went looking for a cheaper clinic five years ago, and I found it. At the time this place, next to Trader Joes in San Luis Obispo, was just opening. The vet sat on the floor with my dog, everything gave me a good feeling. Yesterday, my dog began licking her foot instead of chasing the ball. Saw a red sore between her toes. Took her in, and left her because it was a Monday, with all kinds of emergencies after the weekend. They have a private dog run and a bed where she could wait to be seen in between other animals. Within two hours, I got a call from the vet telling me it was a bee sting, what the treatment was, and how to followup if needed, and when I could pick her up. When I did get her, the vet tech told me how good and easy she had been. She has been fine ever since, but they called to double check on her today. The clinc has at least doubled in size in the last year, with now 4 vets, but the same great service.

I worked in a veterinary clinic for 6 years and I am very impressed with the patient (and owner) experience Mission Animal Hospital provides. They have taken excellent care of our aging dogs (currently 14, 14, and 12 years old). Our beagle has had a weeping tumor removed from behind his ear several times in the past, and I have had other vets tell me it is no longer operable. Due to his age, I didn't really want to put him through another surgery anyway. One of the vets at Mission Animal Hospital recommended a holistic approach and we started him on Transcend (a dietary supplement). After a few weeks of him taking it, I noticed the tumor started to shrink and was not as weepy. We are now on our second bottle, and although the tumor is still there, it is much more manageable, and is about 1/3 the size it was when he started taking the supplement. I appreciate the thoroughness of the evaluations and the open-minded approach I feel the vets have taken with my dogs. I like that they offer holistic options alongside modern medical procedures. It's like the best of both worlds! Thank you Mission Animal Hospital!

First visit with Toman was good, everyone super nice, then second visit with Sara Fuller was HORRIBLE she couldn't read the chart and started laughing and wouldn't stop, very unprofessional, prescribed wrong medicine, very incompetent. Toman gave an estimate of nearly $2000 for surgery, went to another vet for second opinion and it was half the amount with a more comprehensive diagnosis! BEWARE!
