Despite spending the time to come to look at the property for an estimate on fencing, they have never bothered to return emails or phone calls. I have no idea whether they can do the work or what it would cost.

Tell you one thing, then do another. I've been trying for a year and half to fight them on the blacktop job they did for me. It's very uneven, weeds are coming through, they used to different sealers. Had another company come out and tell me that they did not do this correctly. Sad that they don't listen to the customer and don't take you serious when you have honest concerns.

The company was hired to remove and rebuild the collapsed upper portion of a cape cod. The foreman gave us detailed plans, which he filed with the city for approval. All fine and dandy. But as we were to learn, when it came to actually rebuilding, the company ended up deviating from those plans. As a result, it had created structural problems in place of the structural problems its work was meant to fix! It was incredible to witness the owner's dissembling in the aftermath. He lied to the city, the state, and the BBB, despite the heaps of evidence we had. Finally, the city did intervene, despite how it looked for them (the inspector had missed the inspection of this aspect of the company's work; had the city looked at the plans and at the work, it would have caught the problem). Hopefully, that stress-filled year will be just a memory one day. But I'm not so sure it won't come back to haunt us: when working on our second floor, the company carelessly knocked holes into the first floor's ceiling over a period of time, creating sprays of fine dust that settled on everything. Only later did we learn that the plaster could have asbestos in it. And, as we found out by having a sample tested, it did--and not just any old asbestos, but the worst of the worst for human health. Thanks, MN Superior Exteriors! By the way, a non-profit resource center had recommended this company to us. The company used to have contracts with it to fix up properties--guess what? That arrangement is no more. The resource center was properly horrified by MN Superior Exterior's work and comportment to us (love it when "professionals" stoop to name-calling). FYI, the BBB case is now marked as "resolved"--all that that means is that the work was finally done. It says nothing about the fact that that wouldn't have happened unless we persisted--and it says nothing about the stress and heartache the company caused along the way.
