Consumers beware,  The owner Mike Hamburger is a very dishonest man that totally lacks integrity and is very shady. If you choose to do work with him make sure you have everything in writing Including timelines. The owner looked me straight in the eye and lied to me about the completion of the job when he had no intentions of doing it on the timeline he gave me but wanted me to hire him for the roof .  He also sent me a bill for charges that he was not entitled to, work he didn’t perform and also overhead and profit which according to what the Minnesota Department of Labor told me he was not entitled to and they said he knows that but he tried to collect it anyway.   Along with his bill for services, he also attached an attempt to lien on my property as a form of a threat/intimidation which is illegal. Be very cautious when dealing with this company/owner.  He also subcontracted the roof out and they caused damage to other parts of the house which they didn’t correct or deduct the cost from the bill he submitted.

As a young new home owner, I was delaying the stress of finding a roofer and going through the process to update the roof on my purchase which was in disrepair. 

My reservations were unfounded when I started to do my research and get bids from local roofers. Mike Hamburger stood out from the beginning as being personable and easy to work with. When I contacted him for a proposal, I had it in my hand in no time. I was not bothered by Mike as I took a few weeks to decide what I wanted to do. I went with Mike because of the good word everyone seems to have about him (even my local neighbors) and the competitive bid. 

Mike responded very quickly when I signed his proposal. After only a couple days, I had a date that the work would be done.  

The crew impressed me from their workmanship to the cleanliness they left my yard when the job was completed. Even my stay at home neighbors talked about how amicable the roofers were throughout the day. 

They fixed and addressed all the trouble spots with my roof. I am extremely happy with North End Contracting on their ability to quickly act and their extremely high level of quality.

Thanks for the wonderful job on our roof. They were there at 7am like promised and had the job done by the next day....as promised.
Mike helped make it as painless as possible from the insurance, to the work and the final inspection! Would recommend them to anyone. When I went to our mortgage company, they asked who was doing the work. They told me they have heard many good things about North End Contracting and many of their mortgage holders have used them.

North End re-did our roof on our house and garage and we couldn't be happier.

From beginning to end working with Mike (owner) was a great experience and we liked that we were communicating directly with the owner. Whether it was via email, phone call, or even text messages, Mike was always very responsive and provided the answers to all our questions. He also came by on the weekend to meet us in person before the project to go over any questions or concerns way may have.

We requested quotes from multiple roofing companies and Mike's was very competitive but what we liked best was that he was the only one who gave best and worst case scenarios because of our concerns about a bad roof deck. He provided a detailed quote with itemized costs as well as what the expense would be if we needed a whole new deck or no deck. We appreciated knowing the worst-case scenario as far as cost. 

The project was done quickly (one day) and the roof looks great. We've had many compliments about how much newer and nicer the house looks with the new roof and we now have the peace of mind that our roof can withstand the storms and elements.

My husband and I just moved from Indiana and purchased a 1914 home in St. Paul with a steeply pitched roof. Mike was our very first quote. After seven quotes we agreed to go with NorthEnd because he was the only person that didn't cut corners. He wasn't the least expensive, but we agree that we got the best value based on quality. He truly cared about the integrity of our old home and prided himself on overseeing the job every day. Highly recommend if you are looking for quality in work and materials!
